Warbeast (Age of Sigmar) Out Today!

Cover of Warbeast by Gav Thorpe (Black Library Age of Sigmar) HardbackWarbeast, my first full length novel for Age of Sigmar, is released today as eBook and mp3. Pre-orders are also now being taken for both the special edition and general release hardback, which will be available from 12th March.

The exclusive special edition is limited to 500 copies, and is presented as a softback book inside a foldout hard case, with striking cover art, soft-touch cover lamination and embossing.

I will be publishing a series of blog posts this week, including my author’s notes, the music playlist I used to write the book, and a look at the artwork, so keep an eye on the website to find out more.

The once noble tribes of Ursungorod in Ghur have almost entirely fallen to Chaos, and an infestation of Clans Pestilens skaven has amassed in the caverns beneath the snowy tundra. There, Poxmaster Felk is on the brink of opening a vital realmgate – but Sigmar intends to seize this portal for himself.

Arkas Warbeast, Lord-Celestant of the Celestial Vindicators, was once a mortal ruler of these lands. Now, with the aid of the Knights Excelsior, he has returned to free his kingdom from the clutches of Chaos and claim the realmgate in his God-King’s name. But first he must vanquish the ghosts of his past and overcome his own conflicted nature, in order to unleash the beast within.

You can read an extract over at Black Library.
