Oh my actual God, are you ok?

Physically, yes. Emotionally… no. My place is absolutely minuscule, but it’s the only place in the world that’s supposed to be, for as long as I keep paying the rent, MINE, you know? And all week while I’ve been gone, strangers have been constantly in and out, moving and touching and dirtying my things and making a mess, and maybe it sounds stupid, but it feels like a violation. I feel like the way the bottom of a pond looks when to stir it around with a stick.
