Sold!!!! Not 1, Not 2, Not 3...

Here is the story--I was running out of contracted books to write--I am nearly finished writing The Highland Wolf in Paradise--only 7500 words to go--and so I've got to get a proposal to my editor. I submitted the proposal for 3 more wolf tales, Tom's story and two more Highland wolf tales included.

She said she wanted me to think about what I'd do for the future, something different, so I researched jaguars and proposed that I write a series of jaguar shifters--my thinking--they're predators like wolves, beautiful creatures when in their predatory form, territorial, but they don't believe in family, like wolves do, or mate for life. So my shifters would have to be different--fighting their cat nature to take a mate for life. That's because though I want to create the stories as realistic as possible, I need the HEA for romance. So that's what I proposed for the future!

I received the call from my editor after she went to the editorial board, and was thankfully off Friday when she called.

Sourcebooks bought all 6 books!!! The...

three jaguar shifter stories.
Now I need to write up a proposal for the story idea for the 1st of the jaguar shifter stories and it might be coming out in the spring next year. That depends on how fast I can write it! Anyway, I've got to work on that as soon as I finish The Highland Wolf in Paradise. I'm way ahead on deadline, so I can do this! I think this book isn't even due until next year!

So what do you think? Ready for some more wolves, and a few sexy jaguars too?

♡ Sassy ~ Amy ♡ I love that I have several more of your books to look forward to! Jaguars or Cougars sound good to me too! You did not say cougars, but it was a random thought with your mountains/wolves/Highlanders... Anyway, I went random on you! Sorry!
I love how you write, your stories have me at a constant read, where I cannot put the book down, and then I am sad to be done. I could never write, it's not my gift! It is definitely yours!
Whatever you do, pleeeaase, do not go "Feehan" with your cats and talk about the creepy "have to rub on you" because they are a cat thing. I have a cat. Cats are different from jag/cougars that DON"T rub all over your leg. That part just creeped me out from the cat shifter thing.
You are such a great writer, and I think you hit it for me talking about the predator thing. I know the feline shifters will be good from you for sure! I will read all your books as fast as I can get my habds on them! AND Thanks for my answer to the writing question I had! I live through your characters when I read them!

Please forgive all punctuation & spelling errors. Its late and dark, I keep hitting the wrong keys and I am trying to hurry.

Terry Spear LOL, Sassy--I write for you!!

If you read ebooks, I do have some short vampires (and a Greek Goddess short), at Smashwords (http://www.smashwords.com/profile/vie...) and on Kindle (http://www.amazon.com/Terry-Spear/e/B...) at Amazon and at B&N on Nook (http://productsearch.barnesandnoble.c...). I'll be uploading new stories periodically.

But no, I won't be writing like Feehan's stories. I want my own to be unique enough that readers won't be saying: she must read so-and-so's work because this whole plot is lifted from there, or the characters are doing the same thing...etc. :) Plus in my stories, I'll try to make them as realistic as possible--so no vampires or other paranormal creatures running around in the story. Strictly big cat shifters--with maybe a hint that werewolves exist? :)

When I write, I'm in my own world of wolves, and really soon--because I'm almost done with writing The Highland Wolf in Paradise--I'll be jumping into the first world of jaguars. How does Heart of the Jaguar sound? I need a working title for the story, and I figure it's a nice beginning, just like Heart of the Wolf was for the first of the wolf series.

I'd thought of mountain lions, cougars, too. I might do those later. :) I do enjoy setting the stories in different places because it makes each story nice and fresh. That's why in Dreaming of the Wolf, though Jake is from Silver Town, the setting is in Breckenridge, Colorado--so that I could let Jake and his lady have some quality time without the whole pack breathing down his neck. LOL :)

Packs can be protective, but sometimes, having a little...or a lot of privacy is wanted! :)

Thanks so much for loving my stories!!! I LOVE writing them! :) And I can't wait to see what you think about the Highland wolves in Heart of the Highland Wolf!

Have a super TGIF!!!
