Between us: Thanksgiving is... a RomCom
Ah, holidays… the season of casseroles, cousins, and chaos.
In The Wedding Ruse, Elle drags her fake fiancé Cash to Thanksgiving dinner. Bombarded by questions, Cash makes a… strategic choice.
An excerpt from Cash’s POV:
The conversation hums around me like white noise. For one glorious moment, I’m invisible.
Until I hear my name.
“Cash?” Sam’s voice slices through the chatter.

Thin Line
If anyone understood the beautiful messiness of life, it was Erma Bombeck. She had a way of taking ordinary chaos — a burnt dinner, a family squabble, a moment of heartbreak — and flipping it so we could see the humor hidden in the cracks. 🥧💛
I think about that quote often:
There is a thin line that separates laughter and pain. 🎭
Oh, how true that is.
Sometimes the line is so thin it’s transparent.
When Life Doesn’t Go as Planned… and Then Makes You Laugh Anyway😂😭
I love to laugh. But sometimes life isn’t always a romcom.
But sometimes, we laugh because something hurts… and if we don’t laugh, we might just crumble.
Probably why so many comedians have painful pasts.
We’ve all been there:
The moment you cry through a kitchen disaster, only to laugh ten minutes later because the smoke alarm is still shrieking. 🔥😂
The holiday gathering where the drama is thick enough to slice with a butter knife — until someone says something so ridiculous you can’t help but snort. 🎄😅
The heartbreak that loosens its grip just enough for humor to peek in and remind you that joy is still possible. 💔➡️💛
Laughter doesn’t erase the pain, but it softens its edges. It makes the burden a little lighter. It gives us oxygen when life feels suffocating. 🌬️❤️

Happy birthday to me!
