Turns out that when I was setting international shipping
prices on my books, I was thinking of the...
Turns out that when I was setting international shipping
prices on my books, I was thinking of the cost to ship handmade chapbooks
(which are much thinner and ship as letters instead of packages) which means
that I wildly undercharged. (I set the price for $6 when in reality it’s
anywhere from $10 to $14, depending on the destination)
If you bought a book from me to ship internationally and
you want to, it would be awesome if you could paypal me like $5 to make up for
the shipping cost. I’m not going to force anyone to, which is why I didn’t send
this out as private messages. I don’t want anyone to feel pressured. But I
just payed more than $100 in shipping to send out all my orders when I only
charged for closer to $50, total, and it’s a lot of money for me to drop out of
pocket.
Anyway, if you’re interested, my paypal is ashe.vernon@yahoo.com and it would
really help me out.

February Chapbook
Every February, I try to put together a little limited run chapbook, which I take preorders for all through the month of January.
My first one was called My Mother Didn’t Know, which was a book about love and relationships, but also with information about safe sex and how to recognize dangerous situations and speak up for your own bodily and emotional autonomy.
The next year’s was called Not a Girl and it was a collection about gender exploration and what it means to be nonbinary or trans while in a relationship with a cis partner.
Is there anything you’d like to see from the 2018 chapbook? A particular theme or idea you’d like me to tackle?

Hey, I was wondering when your books would be available for purchase again?
Hi! So all of my books are available for purchase on amazon!
If you mean signed copies via my etsy store, I’ve been meaning to set up item listings for BOATMAN and Wrong Side of a Fistfight, I just haven’t done it yet. Hopefully I’ll be able to put that together in the next day or two, complete with an expedited shipping price so that things can hopefully get into people’s hands before the holiday rush makes mailing anything a nightmare.

best stuff (worst) first?
So most people have heard about the strange “Best Stuff First” feature that’s been rolled out on tumblr recently. It’s buggy, inconvenient, and is a real problem for content creators who don’t fit tumblr’s pre-determined algorithm.
If you don’t know how to switch that feature off yet, here’s how. I got rid of that rubbish a few days ago, but I’m still finding that my dash is being affected - whether that’s due to a bug or because other people haven’t turned it off yet, I’m not sure.
But there’s something else you can do to ensure you don’t miss content from people you actively follow.
Turn on blog notifications.See this little icon here? You’ll find it in the oh-so-usable tumblr mobile app, in the upper-right corner of the blog page you are viewing.
Tap that icon, and it’ll give you some options. See the massive red circle? Right there is the option you want.
If you’re not following this so far, I can’t help you. Go stare at a wall.

So, if you really don’t want to miss out on posts from your favourite content-creators, make sure you have you notifications switched on for them. You’ll be notified every time they post something - and if that is Mary Berry biting into a crumpet, well, that’s something you really don’t want to miss out on.
Finally, make the effort to reblog their posts rather than just liking them. Smaller blogs are really struggling to get their content seen at the moment, so reblogging is especially needed right now. Until @staff hopefully remove it as a default option, let’s all try to support the talented content creators we have on this site.
