Earth Day 2025

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted here… Have to admit, I’ve been avoiding the news–choosing to feel joy, versus anxiety. But, it’s my favorite day to celebrate and wanted to say HAVE A WONDER-FILLED EARTH DAY. Celebrate this amazing planet that we all call home.

International Youth Council (IYC) Climate Summit

The University of Wolverhampton will host this year’s International Youth Council (IYC) Climate Summit.

The event, between 23 and 25 July, will look at climate change, creating a greener environment and developing skills and education for green entrepreneurs.

There will be debates, workshops and presentations that aim to “inspire and empower young leaders”.

The university said it expected delegates to attend from all around the world.

David Wedge, deputy head of alumni relations, said the university was “incredibly proud” to be hosting the summit, “because it brings together so many important and highly relevant themes vital to the university and the communities we support."

He added: "From green technologies, to international collaboration, we share the vision of the IYC, and we are particularly pleased that this collaboration has come about through an alumnus of the university.”

The youth council supports young people around the world in all United Nations members countries.
