Air's Vision Cover Reveal

Picture Air's Vision Cover Reveal.
The third and final book in the Elementals series will be available on March 15th.
I had a very hard time saying good-bye to these characters. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I did. Water's Threshold is the first book in this paranormal romance series. I decided to write a story about a girl who live by water alone and came up with Maya. Of course, if you write about water, you then lead into the elements so I wrote about all four. Water, Earth, Fire, and Air. The second story in the series is Fire's Field. I had a great time doing research for that story. Through my characters I got to travel across Europe. Though I had every intention of each book being a stand alone, it is best if you start with Book 1. The reason is due to Quint, the villain. He's always messing everything up.
Water's Threshold is on sale for a limited time. (2/22-3/22) And Air's Vision will start out on sale for a month only. (3/15-4/15) I am only offering my paranormals in Kindle Unlimited.
Once I finish my third O-Line book, I will try to move all book over to all sale sites once more. Look for Jason and Maude's story sometime in July. (crosses fingers)
Thanks for taking journey with me and this team of paranormals.
Happy Reading! Picture

L.B. Dunbar Cover Reveal!

Picture Paradise Fought: Abel by L.B. Dunbar

The fight is on...January 25, 2016.

#Fight4Love

Blurb:

I'm not a fighter.

I was born into a fighting family. As the middle child, I was overlooked in favor of my older brother.

He took the negative attention, too. In comparison, there's nothing special about me.

I’m not as big as Cobra. I’m not as strong as Cobra. He's the alpha.

I'm a beta.

The second son.

The lesser one.

The one never encouraged to fight, never encouraged to do anything, but stay out of my father’s way.

I'm not a lover either - but I wished to be – that’s why I needed her.

I met a girl in the pouring rain.

Sounds cliché, but it's true. It changed everything.

Because of love, I learned to fight.

Betas come second, but in this fight, my story is first.

Excerpt:

“Whoa, sister,” he said, slightly out of breath. “You almost got away from me again.”

“What?” I questioned. I had no idea what he meant: again.

“Never mind,” he muttered, his hand still on me. I looked down at it and he immediately released me. My eyes pinched as I realized I didn’t mind his hand on me. There was something nonthreatening about him. He seemed rather innocent, studious, actually. His shirt was buttoned almost to the top and tucked into his pants. The sleeves secure at the cuffs. His jeans were snug and hugged him well. He wore dark rimmed glasses that screamed smart. He wore boots that looked too new. It was like he had the right parts but the wrong combination.

His blue eyes were soft and easy to look into. They practically spoke to me, but I had no idea what he was saying. His dark hair was disheveled, a bit shaggy, but cool looking. He kind-of looked like a pop star which was a little too sugar sweet for me. His form was questionable. It was hard to tell what kind of body he had under the clothes. He looked rather preppy, like half the guys at this university. I didn’t want to think about it. I’d just sold my soul for another semester.

“So when do you want to do this?” I asked. His blank stare told me he had no idea what I meant.

“Us,” I said, pointing between him and me.

“I…” His voice trailed off as he gawked at me. His expression changed from confusion to shock.

“I didn’t buy you to sleep with you,” he said, a touch of disbelief in his voice. His face turned crimson then fell. “Why, have you done that before?” It was my turn to be surprised and offended.

I turned on my heels and began stomping away from him. He was too quick and he caught me again. His hand on my arm halted me. This time he didn’t release me when I peered down at his fingers wrapped around me.

“Look. I need help,” he blurted. His face pinked a little, and it was sweet. “I don’t need help with sex. I need help with before.” His tone dropped, and he looked side to side to see if anyone would hear him. I took his meaning.

“You don’t know how to do foreplay?

Love's Legacy by Amanda Mariel

Picture Love’s Legacy by Amanda Mariel
Length: 20k/ novella

Heat Rating: 1
Genre: Historical Romance, Regency

Rebecca wants all reminders of the war that claimed her brother’s life to disappear. Camden Le Bec has other ideas. Can love’s legacy bring their war weary souls together?

Excerpt:
A sharp intake of air drew his attention across the stable. He glanced away from his task searching for its source. His heart skipped a beat. A woman stood in the doorway, pale skirts billowing in the breeze. He did not believe in ghosts but the woman before him fit the description he’d been given of Lady Nicola Aubrey-Thorne. She was tall and lean with honey-colored hair and piercing green eyes. The sun’s rays cut through the fog casting her in an eerie glow. He blinked but she did not disappear.

Once he recovered from the shock, he noticed her modern clothing. The lady wore a flowing mint day gown with a high waistline and short sleeves. A bonnet framed her heart-shaped face, its ribbons tied beneath her chin. She was no spirit. He opened his mouth to speak.

She marched toward him, wagging one gloved finger. “You have no right here, intruder. This is private property. I insist you gather your mount and depart.”

Her fearless approach held him captive. He studied her tall frame and blazing eyes, her words barely registered through his fascination. What had she called him? An intruder?

She came to a halt before him placing her hands on her hips. She peered at him through the loveliest green eyes he’d ever beheld. “What have you to say for yourself?”

“Are you the owner of this castle?” He searched the depths of her gaze.

She steeled her back, anger flashing in her eyes.

“Answer me!” He rested one hand on the wall leaning against it.

“No, I am not the owner.” She pointed one finger at him holding it just inches from his chest. “But neither are you.”

He could have set her straight right then. Told her he owned Babylon Castle. Instead he smirked, the urge to bait the chit too strong to ignore. “In that case it seems you are an intruder.”

Her cheeks tinted a becoming shade of pink, yet she did not avert her gaze. “I have far more right to be here than you do.”

He dropped his hand from the cool stone wall and took a step closer to the spirited beauty. Her scent wrapped around him, enticing his senses with lavender and jasmine. It had been a long time since he’d smelled a woman’s flowery scents. “How so?”

Camden expected her to back away at his intrusion of her personal space, but instead she held her ground, those stormy eyes never leaving his. “Not that I owe you an explanation, but I reside in the area and saw light coming from the windows last evening. I felt it my duty to check on the castle.”

“And your husband allowed you to march over here and confront an unknown intruder?” The words left his mouth before he had time to consider them. It was a pointless question. He did not care whether she was married or not. Courting was the furthest thing from his mind.

“My parents did not know my intentions.”

A smile spread across his face of its own volition though he could not imagine why. He certainly did not want the viper-tongued lady for himself. Still, he rather enjoyed verbally sparring with her. He angled his head so his lips hovered just in front of her ear. “I could be dangerous.”

She flinched but did not step away from him. “I am not afraid of you.”

“You should be.” He straightened, meeting her gaze once again. Not a hint of fear reflected back at him. The chit was either daft or made of steel.

“I will not allow you to intimidate me.”

He leaned back against the wall, his gaze locked on hers. “I am Captain Camden Le Bec, descendent of Sir Kenton Le Bec and rightful owner of Babylon Castle.”

When you "hit"

Picture I recently had an author friend say something that really resonated. She said when you "hit" you better have the books to back it up. "When I hit", I don't know what that will be, or how I'll define when that "it" comes along, but until then honestly, I'm enjoying the journey. Last November, I released Water's Threshold. Since, then I've released three more books. I think four books in one year is quite a feat. Another feat, I'm very excited about is hitting 500 Likes on my FB page, I've almost hit "it". I'm measuring my success in stages, hitting 500 Likes is small progress but it's still progress. November will be a fun month. I'll be celebrating my one year PUBLISHING anniversary November long. So stay tuned, and if you hear shrieking soon...it's just me celebrating the 500 Like milestone.
I'd like to thank the members of the Juicebox Dialogues for all the fun times I've had since it's inception. There are plenty of "it's" we've done together and plenty more to do. Write On!
*Be sure to check out the The Elementals Series tab. I've added a teaser for Air's Vision.

Rachel's Guard Live 10/10 - Excerpt

Picture Rachel's Guard Excerpt:
Rachel Harris, private detective extraordinaire and Clayton Kincaid, local cop and friend discuss Bronco Murray's case.

“This is a private matter, Rach.” Clayton shook his head. “Not grounds for a full police investigation. Bronco understands that, right? You’ve filed for discovery, received the traffic crash report, death certificate, autopsy and toxicology reports, plus all these articles.” He flicked a finger at her copies of newspaper articles covering Thomas Northman’s car accident. “Everything in that pile indicates death due to drunk driving and tumbling down a deep ravine.”

“Nah, something’s off about all this. I need to talk to the cop and tow truck driver who were at the scene. See if anything seemed odd, because these reports indicate Northman swerved.” She sniffed, taking in the stench of sweat and whatever other bodily fluids lined the police station’s offices. “It really reeks in here. Light a friggin’ candle, or something.”

Clayton sighed. “Harris…listen, lots of deer live in Northern Ohio. And Northman’s accident occurred in the fall, during rut. Likely just wrong place, wrong time. No mystery there.”

Rachel barely refrained from kicking him. His rational mind wasn’t what she needed today. For once, they were actually on the same side in an investigation, because usually she assisted her uncle with criminal defense cases. “While I don’t relish the thought of sending Bronco’s grandmother to jail, I would like to find answers for him. Luckily, Evidence still had a sample of Northman’s blood. I sent it off to my toxicologist.” She shrugged. “I’m betting another substance impaired Northman’s driving.”

Her stomach growled, since she’d skipped breakfast. Maybe she could talk Kincaid into taking her out for pancakes. “I wish we could still investigate Northman’s car. The fire after the crash could have been intentional to mask other injuries or foul play.”

“The coroner ruled accidental death due to the combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries.” After closing her file, Clayton crossed his all-too-toned biceps over his chest. “I wish Bronco the best, and I hope he finds peace with his family issues, but we all have family issues, Harris. Some of us live in that nightmare every day. You know that better than anyone.”

“I know he’s hurting.” She ran a finger along her coffee cup’s rim. “And for some girly-frilly-bags-of-fluffy-kitten-shit reason, I want to ease his pain.”

“Better ways to ease a guy’s pain.” Clayton smirked.

Rachel rolled her eyes. “You have no idea.” She held her hands more than a foot apart. “No one can handle that. He’s a freak of nature down there. I don’t know how he walks around with that thing all day.”

“I know.” Miming a gun with his forefinger and thumb, Clayton made a clicking sound out the side of his mouth, which made half his face scrunch. “It’s a tough job, but guys like us have no problem carrying the extra weight.”
