New Book Coming Soon

Like it says on the tin: I will have a new book out soon. It should be available by the end of this month if all goes smoothly and thus far, it is going smoothly. If there are any major bumps in the road, you can expect it out no later than early January 2016.

I’m really excited about this one as it deals with a spooky subject set in a creepy little town of my own devising and features one of my favorite things in the whole wide world. (If I tell you it’ll be a spoiler, so you’ll have to wait on that part.)

Now, without further ado, I humbly offer you a peek at the title and the blurb to hopefully pique your interest:

Shades of Night

IN SPARROW FALLS, LOUISIANA SOMETHING WEIRD IS ALWAYS GOING ON.

In Sparrow Falls, things are never normal and they are seldom peaceful for long. It is a hub of murder and mayhem, ghostly apparitions and just plain weird people.

Nick Lange left his hometown behind twelve years ago, dreams of making it big somewhere else looming bright in his mind. What he got instead was a drug habit that led to a long prison sentence for a crime he did indeed commit. Newly released and with nowhere to go, Nick heads home to Sparrow Falls, land of the freakish and the bizarre, with hopes of rebuilding his life in the town he tried to leave behind.

Nick’s quiet new life is soon interrupted when he learns about the newest happenings in town. Since August, things have gotten extra peculiar and not long after Nick’s arrival back in town the murders start. Brutal, senseless killings that leave the victims mauled beyond recognition... and partially eaten. The townspeople whisper that it’s something that hides under the bed or lurks in the closet, waiting and hungry.

Nick, ever the skeptic, says it’s only a man and that’s bad enough because whoever—or whatever—it is, they’ve got Nick in their sights. Nick’s never been one to back down from a fight and that’s a good thing because as the dark gets deeper, it becomes a vicious game of live or die. One that Nick isn’t sure he can survive.

TICK. TICK.

Shades of Night - AVAILABLE NOW

I am happy to announce that SHADES OF NIGHT is now available for purchase in the Kindle store. It took longer than I expected to get it out there, but voila!

Expect it out in print in a couple of weeks, too; I’ll make another announcement to let those interested know about that as well. Also, keep your eyes peeled—I’m going to be offering a free giveaway of the print version after I’ve vetted the formatting and made any necessary corrections.

Thank you all for reading!

Falls the Shadow (Sparrow Falls Book 2) Available Now

You can purchase it on Amazon HERE.

Synopsis:

Sparrow Falls, Louisiana is a dangerous place to live.

Tobias Dunwalton has lived in Sparrow Falls his entire life and is used to the bizarre happenings in the area. At least until strange things start happening to him, too. Tobias is an outcast and a misfit, which in Sparrow Falls means he should fit right in. Yet even among all the other freaks and weirdos, he stands out. He always has. There's something about Tobias most people don't like though he's never been able to figure out what that is. Now, however, someone has taken a very dangerous interest in him. One that could prove fatal if he doesn't figure out the mystery of what is going on in time.

Jeremy Harris has lived many different lives and died many violent deaths, always alone. In this life, Jeremy is the original serial killer of Sparrow Falls. He doesn't think of them as murders though. He thinks of them as necessary sacrifices. They are the only way he has to call out to a god he is beginning to think has forgotten him. Driven mad by the constant cycle of rebirth he's been damned to, Jeremy is determined to have the one thing he truly desires: a life lived in full with his beloved god beside him at long last.

Set on a collision course toward each other, Tobias and Jeremy will learn something they've always suspected: maybe salvation and oblivion are one and the same for some people.

Now that I have your attention...

I'm sure that at least two of you remember that I answered a question a while back where I made mention of a TOME I was embroiled in a battle of wills with. Well, tonight I finished that fucker! I am done. I did the thing. Hell yes. Now, editing and publishing. But first, beer.

Y'all have a great day. 🦄

New Book Available Now

It’s been a long time coming (around 10 months long) but it’s finally here! My newest book is now available for purchase in the Kindle store on Amazon. Hell yeah. Y'all, it is such a relief to be finished with that beast. I’m proud of it though. So, without further ado, I give you Nevermore :

On October 7, 1849, Edgar Allan Poe did not die.

Upon his release from the hospital on October 9, Edgar is penniless, ashamed and suffering from writer’s block. All around him, the world is changing in a whirlwind of industry and invention, but he is stuck; the same old Edgar, the same old problems. His future seems bleak and Edgar wants nothing more than to leave his entire life behind. When a stolen coat provides him with the chance to do exactly that, Edgar seizes it and embarks on a journey to New Orleans that will change his life forever.

Once he arrives in New Orleans, Edgar finds himself swept up in a mysterious world of murder, intrigue and dangerous magic. Someone is killing young singers all over the city in the most gruesome way imaginable. Unable to contain his curiosity, Edgar poses as a journalist and with the help of his two new friends, they begin an investigation into the crimes. Before long, it is apparent to Edgar that their killer has goals beyond what he first suspected. Even worse, Edgar’s snooping has caught the madman’s attention, putting Edgar and his friends at grave risk.

When a seemingly small clue at last reveals to Edgar the murderer’s identity, he realizes the fiend has been right under his nose all along. Reeling with the new information, Edgar feels he is left with no choice but to act. Armed with a bold plan, Edgar decides to make his final stand against a depraved lunatic he once called a friend.

May the Lord help his poor soul.

And one more time, here's the link: Nevermore .
