Blood Moon Over Africa

Blood Moon Over Africa
Book 1, Blood Trilogy
by Paul Zunckel

Africa, a place where superstition and witchcraft runs deep, a place of beauty, but where death lurks in the shadows. A land shrouded in mystery, with ancient beliefs simmering just beneath the surface - set on a collision course with modern western ideas.
An innocent act unleashes a horror that walks the African night... under the full moon... and nothing is safe.
Piet van Zyl, safari owner, finds himself drawn into a world of witchcraft, and face to face with a horror returned from the grave. With the support of Veronica Strydom, with her vast knowledge of African Culture, he must rid the night of the abomination, or die trying

Superstitions, witchcraft, thrills and spills, to keep you turning the pages.

To wet your appetite:

David meets him at the back door, still red eyed from a deep sleep. “Jeez Piet, when you say first light, you mean first light! We haven’t even had coffee yet. Come in, Adele’s busy getting dressed and she’ll join us soon. Man, it’s a lucky thing that she can shoot. That bastard was almost on top of me.”

Adam moves across the yard to the kitchen where the two men are talking. He looks very uneasy, and not very sure of himself, holding his peaked cap in his hands. He shuffles forward until David notices him. “Morning Adam, what’s wrong?”

“There was something wrong last night. The chickens, they made a lot of noise, but I was too scared to check because of the darkness, and the blood moon. I have checked on them this morning, and all is alright, but there’s another problem. The fence has been damaged near the rubbish dump.”

“Blood moon, what’s that, Adam?”

“Ag okay, let me handle this, Adam. David, a blood moon is when the moon is full, and the local superstition amongst the tribes here believe that when it’s a full moon, the creatures of the night walk upright, and reign terror on anyone who’s stupid enough to be out in the open. They believe that this is when the dead walk, and prey on the living. It’s a big thing in witchcraft, and the witchdoctors use this for their own gain, but it’s a bloody load of nonsense, but these people, they believe it.”

PRE-RELEASE REVIEW

“...you cannot help but be compelled to read on...”
reviewed by Lilian Flesher
This review is from a gifted ebook reviewer copy.

“You will be taken on a journey, an adventure, a scary trip that will have you rooted to the spot, whispering to yourself, WATCH OUT, perhaps yelling at the kindle like me!!! This is a fabulously well-written story, it tells the story of the old ways, witch doctors, medicine men, of tribal beliefs, the things that scare the tribes, the information is endless, you cannot help but be compelled to read on, to follow the journey to the end, keep praying for a miracle because these pair along with their friends and helpers are going to need more than help, they are going to need every ounce of their wits, their courage, their skills, and prayers to protect

Review for Whispers in the Wind

Review By Angel Ernest

Whispers: What more can I say about an author who I have praised since the first moment I picked up the first book he has written?? He has gone well beyond my expectations with his latest hit Whispers in the Wind! Not only are my favourite characters back, but oh my,my, have they grown into some very unique ways, as well as the writer himself. I applaud Paul for going into a subject material he had not done in the past: romance. With finesse and subtly Paul brought out the best in his characters, he explode their personalities and it exploded on the pages with flare! This is not a Harlequin romance novel, no. This is a truly horrifying reality for those who live in South Africa, human trafficking. A one of kind story you will most likely not see again. This book offers so much to the reader. Strong well developed characters, romance, horrifying situations, and a great ending. Paul it is no wonder you have made such success with your work. I loved it and if there were a better than 5 stars rating it would be given immediately. Angel.

The Immortal Design

The Immortal Design by Angel Ernest.
I have been privileged to read this book as it was being born, and as each page came to an end, I waited in anticipation for the next instalment to arrive, and was not disappointed.
The Immortal Design is a page turner, the two main characters; Jonathan and Willa just grow in stature as the story unfolds. It is fast paced, and keeps up the momentum from beginning to end.
A combination of horror, romance and thrills all thrown into the same cauldron, the flames fanned beneath it, and an amazing story is brought to the boil. I wish Angel all the best with The Immortal Design, it is a five star production.

Whispers in the Wind

Hi everyone,

My new novel, "Whispers in the Wind" brings back the characters of Piet, Veronica, Adele, as well as the rest of the cast, with little Debi being abducted by a cult. This novel deals with Human Trafficking, the people behind it, and the people affected by it.
"Whispers in the Wind" has it all this time, from drama, suspense to a touch of erotica, as well as the odd laugh or to with Jacques Le Vee and company.

Paul Zunckel

Soon to be released on Amazon.
