[Book Blitz] Over the Line by K.C. Stewart #MaEBlogStops

maeblogstops over the line book blitz Book Blitz
OverTheLine Book Title: Over the Line (Novelette) Author: K.C. Stewart Genre: Urban Fantasy Release Date: February 2015 Hosted by: Book Enthusiast Promotions Goodreads Button with Shadow Book Blurb The truth is in the evidence. Follow your nose, keep an ear to the ground and don’t believe everything you hear. Tyson Cartwright has always known who he was and becoming the Adirondack Pack’s Enforcer was the goal from the very start. He loves his job, but not today. Someone in the pack isn’t who they say they are. It isn’t the first time and it won’t be the last that Tyson has to rid the pack of a spy. These are the people he calls his friends and family and one of them is lying to him. His gut has an idea but is it just because he doesn’t like the man his sister has taken up with or is there something more to Jack Naughton? For Jenny’s sake he better know for sure it’s Jack before dispensing justice because once a wolf goes over the line, there is no coming back. excerpt There wasn't much that could put that look on Owen's face. In all their years together as quasi-brothers, best friends and pack mates, Tyson had only seen that particular look a handful of times and he knew there would be no time off for him in the foreseeable future. As pack enforcer it was Tyson's job to find the reason for the look on his Alpha's face and bring justice. He was protector, detective, judge and jury. His hands were bloodier than anyone else's in the Adirondack Park and maybe even in the state of New York. Justice often meant death because once a wolf went over the line, there was no coming back. Tyson could see the line. He knew where it stood and where those in his pack stood in relation to it. Being feared, and often times hated, was just one of the downfalls of the job. Neither of which bothered him. Owen was alpha. He was the most dominate wolf in the pack and that meant he was the one they relied on. The one they turned to for help. The one who would protect them with everything he had. The pack was his family’s legacy but that didn’t mean it was his birthright, he was just right for the job. When someone was born to do something, nothing—not even being an outcast, could stop them from being who they were meant to be. Tyson was meant to bring justice and protect the pack. Owen was meant to lead. "I can tell by your expression that you have good news for me," Tyson strolled into Owen's office and took one of the seats in front of the massive oak desk. Owen glanced up from the newspaper he had spread out. Usually a remark like that would have gotten a rise out of him but Owen was too far lost in thought to do much more than show mild interest. Whatever it was had caused his best friend to suppress the man and allowed the alpha wolf to take charge. "Just tell me," he said this time. A snarl was just barely being held back. "There was another one." For a guy who usually spoke in low, soft tones he knew how to add venom when needed. Tyson reached across the desk and turned the newspaper around. Another body ravaged by animals. But it wasn't just an animal that had torn and bit into the flesh of the dead man, it was one of them: a werewolf, shifter, lycanthrope. The killing was a message, just not one the human population could read. The message, like all the rest, was for them. Humans are fodder. Nothing more, nothing less. A radical group of wolf shifters who liked to call themselves "Canidae," believed that between the two halves of the lycanthrope soul, the wolf is the stronger half and they should lean towards the way of the animal. Their kind had evolved. At one point, they had leaned heavily on the wolf side of their instincts but in the world as it was today, they relied on the human instead. "Canidae?" he asked but only for confirmation. "What do you think?" That would be a yes. “What are you thinking, Owen? Obviously something if you called me in here." "I haven't wanted to make waves with Canidae." "I know." Everything Owen did, he did for the good of the pack. Keeping his head down in this debate may have been seen as submissive by some, but Tyson knew it had kept many of them alive. "I've kept middle of the line even though I think they are a bunch of ass sniffing dogs who only want a reason to kill freely. This though," he tapped the newspaper, "this is their way of telling me to pick a side. Three dead in the last month. We can't have that. Many more and the police will start connecting the dots." Government intervention was the very last thing any of them wanted. The government knew about their kind, unlike the rest of the human population. They had yet to do any more than make idle threats. However, giving them bodies, gave them a reason to make nice on those threats. "I think we have a mole. Someone is feeding Canidae leaders pack information. I've been talking to the White Mountain pack and they were having the same problems. Turns out, someone from their pack was in Canidae and they were slowly gathering followers. I don't want to believe any of ours would go against me like that but..." "Yeah, but." Tyson saw just how honest and honorable wolves could be. He had no doubts that there were some in their pack that were capable of espionage and brutal human killings. Owen folded up the paper and filed it in his desk, probably with all the other articles from the past year on animal killings and attacks. There was something else that was bothering him. Tyson saw anger and exhaustion in Owen's face. Canidae was the cause behind the anger, but he never lost sleep over it. "Everything ok?" His laugh was half sigh. "No. Lee's on her kick again." "Jesus," he groaned. "After almost two years you'd think she would get it through that thick doctor scull of hers that you love her." "You'd think," he agreed. "I can't really blame her though. I quell the gossip when I hear it but it always gets back to her." "Those old hags can go fuck themselves. So she can't have kids. It's not like it's the end of the world." "No, just the end of my line." He wasn't bitter per say, but Tyson heard the accusation. They had been dancing around their mutual attraction ever since they were pups. Unable to have kids wasn’t a deal breaker for Owen but it was always there between them. They worked together as long as Lee couldn't hear the gossip. The clock in the corner of the room struck with three long, deep gongs. Both of them looked and waited for the sound to end. Tyson hated that clock. He needed to be going anyway. Jenny was expecting him soon. "What do you need of me?" He asked referring to the Canidae problem. Owen looked him square in the face. "To do your job."

excerpt “What are you doing, stowaway?” “Having a drink,” I say, lifting my cup, but for some reason, I don’t think that’s what he’s getting at. He knows what I want. “You don’t want to do this,” he sighs, looks around, and then settles his eyes back on me. “Go back to my place and go to bed.” “You might be able to tell Twigs what to do but don’t think that when it comes to me, you’re gonna get away with it.” I grin. “And I’m not tired. Besides, Twigs thought you might need some company.” “Ah…” His eyebrow arches. “I have company,” he says, tilting his head in the direction of his entourage. “Yeah.” I nibble my bottom lip, and he watches me. “Well, Twigs thought you’d want my company.” He takes a deep breath, and with his long-winded exhale, his eyes slowly trail down me. “You do realize what they’re offering, don’t you?” He bends down, lowering his voice. “Are you willing to offer the same?” “No.” I wrap my hand around his neck, and he lets me pull him close. “What I’m offering is a hell of a lot more than what you’re going to get from any of them,” I whisper into his ear. “Oh yeah,” his husky chuckle echoes through me. “And how can you be so sure of that?” “Because you don’t want them.” I tilt back to find his dark eyes waiting. “You want me.” He rubs a finger across his lips as he gazes at me from out of the corner of his eye. His finger drifts to his chin. He strokes the stubble there. The longer he makes me wait, the more my confidence slips. His hand moves, heading straight for me. The finger he just ran over his mouth touches my bottom lip. It slopes my chin, slides slowly down my chest, and skims past my breast. My nipple hardens against the soft material of my dress. The edge of his finger runs up and down over my hard tip. My pussy clenches. “I do want you,” he finally says. Oh yeah, I have him. He’s mine. I lean in to seal the deal, but he pulls back. “Sorry, stowaway. I’ll kiss you everywhere else and make you feel real good too, just not there.” “Not where?” My forehead tightens. “My mouth?” Is that what he’s saying? He’s gotta be joking, right. The slow drop of his head tells me that he’s not. “Wait.” I blink. “You’re really not going to kiss me? You expect me to…to…just fuck you?” “No.” He sways forward; the heat from his body cascades over my bare skin. “I expect the women I’m with to swallow when they give me head, do exactly as they’re told, and to handle a good ass spankin’.” “You’re a bastard.” I push away from him. “What?” The corner of his mouth lifts. “Were you expecting Prince Charming? Sorry to disappoint, but he exited this body a long time ago...

[Release Day and Giveaway] Changed by Alicia Renee Kline @readaliciarenee #MaEBlogStops

maeblogstops changed release day Release Day Blitz 24246779 Book Title: Changed Author: Alicia Renee Kline Genre: Contemporary Romance Release Date: April 7, 2015 Hosted by: Book Enthusiast Promotions Goodreads Button with Shadow Book Blurb It was only supposed to be a one night thing…Will Delaney and Gracie Alexander are little more than acquaintances when fate lands them in same place at the same time. One drunken hookup later, they decide that the best course of action for all involved is to pretend it never happened. Will’s recently divorced. Gracie’s perennially single. Upon first glance, they have absolutely nothing in common. They both agree on one thing: they’re not looking for a relationship. The only problem is that they can’t seem to stay away from each other. Can two people who have sworn off love forever find it in the most unexpected setting? excerpt He took my hand in his and allowed me to lead him to my bedroom. If he had half a mind to try to make a move on me again, he swallowed it down. We stripped to our underwear, him waiting for me to climb in under the comforter so that he could take the other side. In the darkness, I felt the mattress sink down with his unfamiliar weight. He was close enough to touch, yet far enough away that I supposed it was possible to forget he was there. Possible, but not bloody likely. I laid on my back, the comforter brushing against my bare breasts, mimicking how his hands felt upon my nipples. I closed my eyes, hoping to quiet the memories. Despite how tired I was, I’d never get to sleep like this. “Gracie?” he whispered after a few minutes. “Are you still awake?” “Yes.” “May I hold you?” Even though he couldn’t see my expression, I grinned at how silly his request sounded. “Considering what we’ve done before, I think you’re past the point of having to ask permission to touch me.” It was true. We’d slept together once - actually slept - back at his place. Granted, we’d both been relatively comatose given the amount of drinks we’d had. We hadn’t minded then if a random arm or leg invaded each other’s personal space. But as he reached for me tentatively, I realized this was different. I submitted myself to him, letting him mold me the way he wanted to. He rolled me over so I laid on my side, him behind me. His arms held me tightly, but it wasn’t binding or restrictive. His face curved towards me, his lips pressed softly in the space where my neck met my shoulder blades, though he wasn’t kissing me. I could feel his every breath, his every heartbeat. I could also feel my own pulse pounding very noticeably between my legs. But I laid there, drinking it all in and wanting nothing more. In that very moment, I realized that I had never felt more safe in my life. The intimacy was astounding, a hundred times more powerful than that of the sex we’d had earlier. I knew then that he would do anything to protect me. Even if it meant torturing the both of us. They dance, make jokes, and even make a playful bet that Addison accepts thinking all will be forgotten by morning--thanks to a night of heavy drinking. Will Addison find new love with Lucas? Or will she find a way to win Stephen over once and for all? The Kiss Teaser 1 Excerpt CHAPTER ONE“Addison, my dear, take a seat.” My boss, Shelly Lewis, says while clicking her obnoxiously long hot pink acrylic nails onto her keyboard. I can’t understand how people can willingly get fake nails that are four inches long. It’s just so gross to me. Shelly scoots back in her leopard print leather swivel chair and clasps her hands together. This is going to be really good or really bad. “I just wanted to let you know that you’re one of the best employees that we’ve ever had here…” Hell yes! I knew it! It’s going to be really good. Hopefully this means bitch face Brittany is getting canned finally and I’m getting promoted to the Marketing Director, but if not, at least a raise that’s more than a damn nickel would be fantastic. “…I’m truly sorry to tell you this…” Wait, what? That definitely escalated quickly. “…unfortunately we have to cut back on staff due to the economy, and as a result, your position is the first to be eliminated. There aren’t any open positions available for you at this time, but I will contact you as soon as something opens up.” My heart stops, and my smile quickly fades. “I’m sorry, Addison, I’m so very sad to see you go. But on a brighter note, you’re young and you’ll find something easily!” Shelly gives me a warm smile, pulls a tissue out of her fancy leopard print covered tissue box, and hands it to me. Is this real life? I’m being laid off from my job two weeks before Christmas? This has to be some sort of fucking joke. “Well, thank you for giving me this amazing opportunity. I loved working with you, Shelly, and everyone else here.” Tears start to fill my eyes. I grab the tissue from her, pull a few more out of the fancy box and walk out of her office. Merry fucking Christmas to me. I grab my cell and call my fiancé, Carlos. “Carlos, baby! Can you come pick me up from work, I have some terrible news.” I sob uncontrollably. Carlos has to pick me up from work because my dumb ass thought it'd be a brilliant idea to drink and drive last weekend, the hot policeman did not. This year is obviously ending well, I just pray this isn’t an indication of what the new year has in store for me. “Uh yeah, I’m kinda tied up with something right now. I, uh, I’ll be there in…ugh—” he pants and grunts. I can hear muffled moaning in the background, like sexual moans, but it doesn’t sound like a female’s muffled moans. “Carlos, what the fuck are you doing? Where are you?” I holler. I see a taxi coming up and wave it down. “I’m working out and I’m at home! I’ll be there in thirty minutes— chill!” he shouts back. None of this sounds right to me. For one, Carlos never seemed too busy for me when I called him before and he definitely never put working out before me. Two, he never fucking works out at home, he always goes to the gym. I hand the taxi driver $200 for a five-mile drive so he’d hurry, and he did. I had him drop me off halfway down the block so Carlos wouldn’t hear a vehicle pull in. I slip out of my heels and power-walk into the house. I can still hear moaning, groaning, and manly screams. I storm up the white spiral stairs to our bedroom and find my fiancé face down, ass up, naked, while the pool boy plows him from behind. This is ludicrous! “ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME, CARLOS? WHAT IS THIS?” I scream. The pool boy is startled and falls off the bed, then hurries to grab his clothes off the floor to cover himself. Carlos’s skin goes from a caramel brown to a maraschino cherry red. He frantically grabs the sheet and wraps it around himself. “Baby, it’s not what you think,” Carlos says in his sexy Hispanic accent, but I’m not falling for that shit. “It’s not what I think? You were just fucking our pool boy! How long has this been going on? Jesus Christ, Carlos! I can’t believe this, I can’t believe you! We’re done!” I shout. Carlos tries to comfort me by reaching his hand out to grab my shoulder, but I push him away. “We’re not done, Addison. No one will know about this. You have a life anyone would die for. I don’t give a fuck what you do, sleep with other men. I won’t care, I promise. Do what you want, Addison, but we can’t call off the wedding. No one can know about this. We have to get married! Please, Addison! Whatever you want, you can have it. Do you want those new Jimmy Choo pumps you were telling me about? Please, Addison! ANYTHING AND IT’S YOURS!” he pleads. I wipe the tears from my eyes. “Why, Carlos? Why can’t anyone know about this? Being gay is far more accepted now. So why the fuck can’t anyone know? Why would we still get married?” I start to bawl uncontrollably again. “My dad can’t find out. If he finds out I’m gay I will have nothing. He’ll disown me, then fire me, and then I’ll never inherit the real estate agency when he dies. That company is my life, Addison!” He starts to cry. This was the first time I’ve ever seen him cry and it makes my blood heat to a rolling boil. We never fight, ever. So I guess that’s why he’s never cried in front of me. His cry face is repulsive, I want to vomit. The sound of his crying and pleading makes me want to spartan kick his ass straight out of the window. I feel more hatred toward him than I do toward my sad excuse of a father who up and left me and my mom when I was seven. “No, Carlos! The wedding is off! This is the lowest thing you could have ever done to me. I trusted you. I loved you, I was head over fucking heels in love with you! Or maybe it was just the materialistic shit that I loved because I was completely drowned in it. I moved here to start over and I ended up right back where I was before. I’m not pretending anymore. I’m not pretending for you. I can’t. It’s over.” I glance at the pool boy just sitting in the corner of the room with his head between his legs as if he’s embarrassed. I turn to walk out the door. “If it wasn’t for me you wouldn’t have anything! You’d still be sleeping on couches at your random friends’ houses. You wouldn’t have all of your Gucci or Versace. You wouldn’t have shit, Addison! YOU NEED ME AND I NEED YOU!” Carlos shouts. I turn back to look him in the eyes. “I’m done. We’re done.” “Please, Addison! Whatever you want, you can have it! You name it and I will buy it! No one has to know. We’ll keep living how we’ve been living and everything will be okay. Right? We can do this, baby. You’re my best friend, I still love you. Please, Addison, please!” “You have destroyed me, Carlos. You have no idea what you’ve done, and you will regret fucking me over.” I take my phone out and snap a picture of Carlos, naked in the sheet, and the pool boy, naked in the corner, and send it to his dad. “Oh no! Oh hell no, Addison! Give me that phone. Don’t you dare send that to my father! I swear to God, I will throw you right back in the gutter I picked you up out of!” His voice shakes and he clenches his fist. “I’d rather look like I have nothing and be loved and happy than look like I have everything and be lonely and miserable. So screw you and your million dollar house. Keep my Gucci and Versace and everything else. I don’t need it and I sure as hell don’t need you! [Giveaway and Book Blitz] Tempting the Artist by Sharon C. Cooper #MaEBlogStops

maeblogstops tempting the artist book blitz Book Blitz TemptingArtist 2400x1600 Book Title: Tempting the Artist Author: Sharon C. Cooper Genre: Contemporary Romance Release Date: March 27, 2015 Hosted by: Book Enthusiast Promotions Goodreads Button with Shadow Book Blurb Christina “CJ” Jenkins, a free-spirited painter by trade is juggling her obligation to the family construction business, with the demands of her secret passion. A secret life she has successfully hidden until recently. When sexy, bad-boy attorney, Luke Hayden, enters the picture, he steals her heart. But the truth of Christina’s double life buried under lies, threatens to destroy them both. Luke is leaving New York to escape the drama, which is his life. Starting over in Cincinnati with Christina appeals to him more than he will admit. Although her secret jeopardizes their steamy affair, it’s not until someone threatens to destroy the Jenkins family empire, and uses Luke to carry out their plan, that their relationship is truly tested. Luke will do what he can to help the Jenkins family, but he will stop at nothing to tempt the woman who has captured his heart. excerpt “Wha … what are you doing up?” she finally asked. “I don’t sleep well without you in my bed.” His slumber-filled voice was deep and intoxicating. She had no doubt that he meant what he said. When she wasn’t in New York visiting him, he rarely slept in the bed, preferring the sofa in his home office. He’d often stay at work until nine or ten at night, only to arrive home and work for another few hours. She had no idea how he functioned with only three or four hours of sleep each night. Luke moved across the room with the stealth of a lion, closing in on its prey. With a lean body, his sculpted chest and muscular biceps stood out. That quiet control swimming in his eyes, with a twinge of fearlessness, rooted her in place and had her heart pounding double-time. She was sure that look played well into him being one of the top defense attorneys at his New York law firm. “What’s wrong? You’ve been distracted since we returned from the art show.” The richness of his baritone voice washed over her like a smooth, satiny caress. And he smelled so good. The fresh scent of soap permeated the air as if he had just stepped out of the shower. His voice, his scent, and all that made him the man he was, weakened her defenses and sent her senses spiraling out of control. He pulled her effortlessly against his hard body and her arms slid easily around his neck. What she felt for him was unlike anything she had ever experienced. There was just something about him. Something about the way his welcoming embrace evoked a sense of peace that settled over her like a goose down jacket all snuggly and warm. And there was something about the way his self-assuredness gave her the desire to experience the world through his eyes, making her want to try new things and live life on the edge. Christina moaned as his body molded against hers, chest to chest and thigh to thigh. He felt too good. It wasn’t helping that the feathery kisses he placed along the length of her neck were reigniting the smoldering heat from hours earlier. She couldn’t think straight. Couldn’t think straight when he looked at her, or when he kissed her, or when he touched her. An experienced lover, his caress had her body bending to his will. Copyright © 2015 by Sharon C. I picked it up and took a sip, letting both the aroma and taste fill my senses. After an amazing night with Tony, one that I was beginning to feel like shouldn’t have happened, I needed something stronger than coffee. Maybe Fireball. There wasn’t much that Fireball couldn’t fix. At nine in the morning? No judgment please. “Good morning.” Blake strolled into the kitchen, planting a kiss on Avery’s head as he began to pull out pans and ingredients for breakfast. “Are you staying for breakfast, Morgan?” Such a good husband. “Yes,” Avery answered quickly, before I could even respond. Blake looked between us both and just shrugged as he began laying pieces of bacon in the pan, moving it around as it sizzled and popped. “Focus,” she demanded, smacking her hand on the countertop, startling both Blake and me. “So, he just left without saying goodbye?” Avery asked again. “Yes, I already told you that.” Seriously. Did she know how humiliating it was to say it once, much less repeat it? Was she trying to reduce what little self-esteem I had? “Who left where?” Blake asked over his shoulder, still flipping the bacon. “Tony,” Avery stated like it was no big deal. That got Blake’s attention. “What about Tony?” he asked, frowning over his shoulder. “He slept with Morgan last night,” Avery blurted out. “Avery! Seriously!” I buried my head in my hands. This was getting so much worse than I imagined. “Wait, I thought he was at some gala with his family last night. Were you at the gala, too, Morgan?” Blake took the pan off the burner, giving us his full attention. “No, she was in Boston surprising some douchebag, Richard.” I just nodded, placing one finger on my nose and pointing at Avery. It looked like she was going to do all the talking for me anyway. It was like charades. “Wait.” Blake held up his hands. “You slept with Tony last night? My Tony?” “I think it is safe to say that he was Morgan’s Tony last night.” Avery giggled, apparently amusing herself, and not at all swayed by my dirty look. “That’s not like Tony.” Blake shook his head, looking like he was trying to figure things out. “What’s not like him? Why wouldn’t he sleep with Morgan? Is there something wrong with her?” Avery put her hands on her hips, glaring at her husband. She was talking like I wasn’t there, so I just kept my head down in shame and sipped my coffee. “What? No! That’s not what I meant.” Blake held his hands up defensively. “And why didn’t you tell me Tony lived in the same apartment building as Morgan?” Avery demanded. “Now, hold up just a minute, Little Bit. I’ve never even been to Tony’s new place.” Blake sighed, stepping back, trying to separate himself from Avery’s sudden hostility. She was like a yippy Chihuahua. “And why do I feel like I’m in trouble all of a sudden? You two do realize you are talking to a man, right? And, to top it off, you are talking in some girl code that I’m not grasping. I’m still trying to figure out why Tony said he needed the night off for a gala when he was in Boston with Morgan and some guy named Richard.” “What?” Avery and I questioned at the same time before we began laughing. “Forget it!” Blake turned back around, clearly frustrated, and continued with breakfast, mumbling under his breath about crazy women and not understanding. “Ugh,” I groaned. “Just let me talk.” I held up my hand to Avery, stopping her from interrupting. I explained every humiliating moment of the previous night to Blake as he cooked, right up until Tony and I kissed, not wanting to give any other details, as Blake set plates of bacon, toast, and eggs in front of us. Avery took a bite and sighed. “You have to give us more details, Morgan. Think of it as research for me.” “Nuh huh. My life is not going to end up in one of your books.” I shook my head. “Come on.” Avery giggled. “This is too good. I couldn’t make this shit up.”

Giveaway and Cover Reveal- Long Lost Family by Lore Ree

maeblogstops Cover Reveal
Long Lost Family - Ebook Cover Book Title: Long Lost Family Author: Lore Ree Genre: Contemporary Fiction Release Date: Summer 2015 Hosted by: Book Enthusiast Promotions Goodreads Button with Shadow Book Blurb Lisa Hughston’s life is perfect. With a doting husband, two handsome little boys, and a job she loves as a nurse, she’s done the one thing she always vowed to do: rise above everyone who told her she would amount to nothing more than a high school dropout and drug addict. Just like her mother. There’s only one problem in her seemingly flawless life … she doesn't know anything about her husband’s past. Christopher knows the truth about who he is and where he came from wouldn’t just hurt his wife. It would destroy her. He’s done—and vows to continue doing—everything in his power to keep that side of him buried forever. But when Lisa unknowingly befriends his estranged family, she sends their once perfect life into a tailspin. Will they survive the fallout when she discovers who he really is and the secrets he’s been hiding?
excerpt Long Lost Family (An Unedited Excerpt) The shuffling near the front door caught her attention, but Lisa didn't turn around. Tensing, she clung to the couch in an almost futile attempt to gather strength for the fight she knew was coming."So you're really not letting me see the boys today?""You lied," she whispered, her voice thick and hoarse from tears. "Is Christopher even your real name?”Behind her, her husband cleared his throat but didn't answer. Nothing would dig him out of the hole he'd created, and frankly he was tired of all the fighting."It's funny." Lisa shook her head, forcing out a humorless laugh. "After all this time and after everything I've tried ... I still ended up just like my mother. I watched her—year after year, guy after guy losing herself. Changing herself for these losers that weren't worth her spit. I swore I'd never be like that." She snapped her head around to face him. Guarded eyes stared back at her. A hard set jaw unflinching and unwelcoming. She’s caved to that look dozens of times over the years, but today, she refused to back down. "Then you came along. You are the one who wanted a wife, and a family, and a home. You're the one who asked me you marry you. Everything you've ever wanted I've given you. Everything I do, every breath I take revolves around you and the boys. All you’ve ever had to do was tell me the truth. That's all. I've done everything for you and you couldn't do this one thing for me.""Would you have said yes?" Christopher’s deep voice cut through the moment. "If I'd told you—if you had known What I'd done. Where I'd come from, and who I was. Would we have had all of this?" He gestured around the room. A broken picture frame still lied on the ground. "Would you have married me then? Would you have had my children knowing the blood that would run through their veins? Would you have fought to make a life with me? Tell me now that my past wouldn't have made a difference, and I'll get on my hands and knees and beg for your forgiveness.""No," Lisa admitted after a long, reflective stretch of silence."Then stop demanding an apology we both know you don't deserve.""An apology I don't deserve?" she repeated in shock. The words echoed in her ears, rattling her brain and shattering every shred of desire she had left to deal with this version of her husband—this stranger that had infiltrated their lives. Six months ago, he would have moved heaven and earth to make up for something asinine like forgetting the milk on his way home from work. Now, after being faced with their very existence being a lie, she wasn't worthy of getting a simple 'I'm sorry.'"I would say I don't even know who you are anymore, but the truth is I never did, did I?” Meet the Author Lory Profile Pic Lore Ree is a daydreaming contemporary fiction writer. When she isn’t writing, you can find her reading sweet romances and binge watching Crime shows.Born in New York, raised in Florida, and matured in Massachusetts, she considers herself an East Coast baby. The Marked Series by Elena M. Reyes #MaEBlogStops

maeblogstops

Title: Marking Her & Marking HimAuthor: Elena M. ReyesPromo Blitz date: April 2 Genre: Erotic Romance

Synopsis for Marking Her: Talan wants to mark Maya—with more than his ink. The owner of a prominent tattoo shop, he’s used to being hit on by easy women. Though “easy” is not a word associated with Maya when she comes in to support her friend. Flirtation ensues, but what will it take to break the painted man.
Excerpt: Marking Her #1 Excerpt
She was never this late. I was becoming agitated by the lack of common sense people had to pick up a goddamn phone. How hard could it be to let me know if you’re coming or not? There was just something about a person’s lack of punctuality that pissed me off. Not caring if I had shit to do or places to be was plain rude. I was worked up to the point of walking out the damn door. “Janice,” I called out into the now empty shop. She’d insisted – once the boy’s left – in staying behind to help me set up, not listening to my refusal. “Call Esther and reschedule. I’m beat and—” “I’m here,” Esther yelled, rushing through the door. “Traffic was a bitch and I—” “Save it and get in my chair before I kick you out,” I grumbled and rubbed my throbbing temples. “But, I brought—” “Now.” “Is he always this rude?” a soft, feminine voice I didn’t recognize asked. I looked up, and was startled by the sexy little thing that stood before me. She was young. Much younger than what I was normally attracted to; at the most this little nymph was twenty. The beauty had black hair; wavy and tousled locks that swept down to the middle of her back, with side-swept bangs across her forehead. Her face was sweet, innocent, while her gray eyes spoke of mischief, and in my case, trouble. Lips, those fucking cherry-red lips, were plump and inviting—the perfect Cupid’s bow that begged to be nibbled. I let my eyes traverse her short frame and my mouth watered. She truly was an itty-bitty thing. With my six-foot-four frame, I towered over her, dwarfing her delicate one. My feet carried me closer to where she stood, next to Esther in the receptionist area. I wanted her laid on that black marble top so I could feast on her. The drought I’d been on as of late might have been making me desperate...then again, looking at her was making something within me want to just take, consequences be damned. We watched each other; she followed my every move and I, her every breath. My eyes dropped from her perfect face to hungrily devour her chest and a shiver ran down my spine.  The two pert, no bigger than a handful breasts, sat high on her chest. She wore a simple camisole that did little to hide her obvious happiness to meet me. My cock twitched as her nips puckered. I continued my assessment and found my hands clenching the second her narrow waist and flared hips came into view. My nails dug grooves into the palms of my hands, the slight pinch keeping me in check. The desire to pull her closer, grab onto her flesh, and leave my prints behind was almost unbearable. She was a slim petite thing, with the sexiest pair of legs my eyes had ever seen; they were bare for my enjoyment. A tiny pair of denim shorts barely covered her lower region, marking every groove and molding onto her sinful flesh as if they were a part of her. I was hard. “Wow,” a voice coughed to my right, pulling my eyes away from Bitty. “What—” “You can say ‘thank you’ for my gift now and eye fuck her later.” Esther laughed while Bitty turned red around the cheeks. This cute little thing blushes? “Talan, it’s getting late,” Janice interrupted suddenly, “and we have plans.”  “I’m sorry,” Bitty spoke up, turning to Esther, “maybe we should come ba—” “No.” The word popped out before I could think to stop them. “Yes.” My glare cut off Janice before she could continue, eliciting a chastised look from her. Who the hell did she think she was to be so rude and hostile toward my client and someone who, I hoped, would soon be my friend? “Enough, Janice.” I let the words come out encased in a low, warning growl before turning toward the two women with raised brows. “You two head on back.” Bitty went to protest at my command, but instead bit her lip, causing me to groan. Fuck, I need to get this situation under control. “Esther, you know the drill; lose the shirt and get comfy. Bitty, I want—” Bitty crossed her arms, scowling adorably. “Who you calling ‘Bitty’?” “You, sweet thing, now quit interrupting me.”  Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/25172985

Synopsis for Marking Him: The day Maya Owens walked into his tattoo shop, everything Talan knew changed.
After officially starting a relationship, he is now having trouble managing Maya—a woman who consumes every part of his being and owns his heart. His need to control her and everything around her drives Maya insane, but he has good reason. After all, Janice is still lurking around and she has a vendetta against his Bitty. In no time Talan wants more, and it’s faster than Maya can handle; things begin to get complicated.
Months of frustration and want take them for a ride neither wanted, but now yearn for. Will they make it through the turbulence? And if so, at what cost?

Excerpt:
“Bet my fucking life on it.” Talan groaned; his eyes zeroed in on my fingers parting my pussy lips. “There’s nothing sexier than watching you lose control. Back arched, eyes rolled into the back of your head … having your pussy walls locked down around my dick. It’s a beautiful pain.”  “Then why aren’t you taking me—taking what’s yours?”  “Because I have a goddamned appointment, who’s going to walk through that door and see you naked and waiting. Fuck.” His hands punched the door. “Get dressed, babe, please.” “Baby, look around. Tell me if anything stands out.” Poor man, he hadn’t noticed the reality of this situation.  “Other than my fantasy of you, naked and in my chair becoming a reality?” Talan smirked; his eyes roamed my body from head to toe. “No. Not a damn thing.” Dear God, how much more obvious could this be? “You really are dense.” “What the he—” I interrupted him before he fucked up this evening. “What part of Merry Christmas didn’t you understand?” Talan’s eyes brightened. He got it. “You mean?” I nodded and smiled. “Fuck yes.” “How? Esther booked . . .” he trailed off. It wasn’t hard to understand.  “I’ve wanted to do this for so long. Since that night you showed me my design all those months ago.”  Talan’s eyes softened at this. “So you waited for Christmas?” “It felt like the right time. Special.” “Thank you.” He breathed and pushed himself off the door frame. It still wasn’t close enough. “Are you sure you want this? My mark?” “More than anything.” Staring up into his eyes, I took a deep breath and continued. “Wearing your mark, a peace of your ownership, will be an honor. I love you.” Like a magnet finding his polar opposite, he launched himself at me. His arms grabbed onto my waist and pulled me toward the very edge of his chair. The file which had been placed at the end of his chair, fell to the floor, and scattered around his feet. He hovered over me, caging me in, making me feel small and safe. “Your beauty leaves me breathless.” Talan moaned. My legs wrapped around his waist and held him against me. Hard cock to needy pussy. “No one will ever love you harder than me. So complete, and with every fiber of what makes him a man. You doing this, for me … no fucking words could describe what I feel. Thank you.” “I was meant to be yours; it’s only fitting that I bear your imprint. Love you.” His hungry lips were on mine the moment the last syllable left my lips. It was rough, passionate. His tongue sought out mine, entwined with it, and savored my taste.
