You were a fortune cookie writer? How exciting! How, exactly, does one come into such a line of work? The funniest fortune cookie fortune I've come across said "Promote literacy--buy more fortune cookies."
I want to apologize for the all the recommendations from me today. I wanted to share the Stoker Award news, and I only pressed the send button once--I'm not sure what happened to create so many messages. Some weird glitch.Argh...this is terrible...
Again, I'm very sorry.

Here’s wishing you a nifty New Year filled with noiseless noses, neato nicknames, noble Nebraskans, gnarly narcoleptic nebulas, and novel novels about nut-eating narwhals and novercaphobic gnats. -Jeremy :)
P.S.—I’m currently offering autographed/personally-inscribed copies of my novel, Vacation, with free shipping for those in the US. If there’s anything you could do to help me spread the word about this, I’d really appreciate it. Feel free to click here for details:

Hi Russell!Here’s wishing you a yippee-filled Yuletime overflowing with yard-long yams, yapping yoyo-yanking yetis, yak-milk yeast-cakes, and yellow yarn-yielding year-end yard-gnomes.
-Jeremy :)
Thanks for the message, Russell! I've never read Angle of Repose, so I'll definitely check it out.I think right now my favorite novel is either 1984, or The God of Small Things.
Here’s wishing you a fantastic day full of first-rate fates, fascinating flavors, and famous fire-eating ferret faeries.
-Jeremy :)
Good question, Jeremy...I think I'd have to answer that in two parts...my favorite novel was probably Angle of Repose by Wallace Stegner. But the novel that blew me away more than any other was The Sound and the Fury. I just read it again a couple of years ago, and after writing several novels myself, this one took my breath away for the risks Faulkner took. He breaks every rule. And he makes it work.
Hi Russell! If you don't mind sharing--I was wondering, what's your favorite novel of all time?
Here’s wishing you a fantastic day filled with fabulous friendships, fanciful festivities, and frolicking phantom footstools.
-Jeremy :)

Will most certainly take a look at both your books.
My second novel is: The Feathery...I'm working on a third..Historical fiction. Set in a small Cape Cod town, 1942. and in the cruel Atlantic aboard a German U-Boat, with a homeport in Lorient, France.
Working title is: A Drumbeat Too Near.
Check out The Feathery on Amazon...Pub date for, A Drumbeat Too Near, is August/2009.
Best,
Bill
