Number 43. Out of the forty plus books I have read this year, this one is something special. It is scary, it is poignant. There is a brutal, yet somehow tender beauty to this tragedy of revenge, from the basketball scenes, to the hunting fields, to the all-too-human characters and the not-so-human characters.
