Wordfest panel

Should be posted around soon. Until then, here’s a few screen grabs people took:

"It's a lot healthier for the genre to go right over the whole thing and go straight to market" — Stephen Graham Jones on choosing NOT to participate in the culture of ticking all Native Lit tropes and checkboxes. @BillyRayB @SGJ72 @JWhitehead204 Watch on https://t.co/KTmDJ0Ze4H pic.twitter.com/kGRA9l0efk

Some elk-heady, um, people

That I’ve stumbled onto the last couple weeks. The Bottom — who actually has a horse-head that, in the dark, could maybe be a cow elk — is from the manga A Midsummer Night’s Dream done by Kate Brown, and the deer-woman’s from Carmen Maria Machado’s The Low, Low Woods. Presumably she wrote something like ‘deer/human monster, female,’ and then Dani, the artist, realized it:

More Elky Events

(with maybe one or two of them having already happened? sorry. been lax in updating this place — was the first week of class, and hectic times about four . . . )

Anyway, coming momentarily, I believe:

All Of It returns Monday 8/31 with directors @HeidiLoki and @RachelLoki of new @Showtime docuseries "Love Fraud." Plus author @SGJ72 on his latest "The Only Good Indians."
