Pinpointing DNA Ancestry in Africa
The human race as we know it, homo sapiens, started in Africa. But the big question seems to be when did the migration waves occur.
While our ancestry can be traced back to Africa it’s not the current DNA of all of Africa that is traced.

At a white-tie media dinner, President Trump tries joking: ‘I like chaos’ – The Washington Post
I don’t know if this statement is 45 confession of liking to bring chaos or just 45 saying he experiences joy from chaos. I do know based upon 45 performance to date that he doesn’t respond or work well under chaos.

Florida students say hero teacher was really a ‘coward’ who left them to die
When it comes down to people’s experience of an event their perception of the event is often colored by their world view.

The news has covered the event of an active shooter at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14, 2018 over and over. I’m sure there will one day be a movie about if not the event itself then the student activism that has grown out of the shooting.
The point of this post is to determine how is it decided who gets to be a hero. Being that I have decades of experience working in public schools I haven’t read many of the initial articles. I’m too close to the subject to be objective. But this article I felt I must respond to because children are claiming to be left out in the halls.
I don’t know how many children the hero teacher normally has in his class but I know from experience that it was at least twice as many that ended up locked in the class with him. School protocol does call for the teacher to lock the door and not open it. The reason for not opening even for students is that you never know if other students are involved. All that said, there is no way that a teacher could have been a hero in general with only six students locked in class with him. Also school protocol is for their to be no cell phone usage, especially not for phone interviews, so that misinformation is not given to parents.
Since the shooting seemed to have been timed for change of class (from all I’ve read regarding the students being in the hallways) the situation calls for all teachers to be extra diligent in grabbing up any student not just your own. {This seems to be exactly what the second teacher did do.} Clearing the hallways can become very dangerous since you never know how many are involved or if some involved are students. That’s why protocol is to just get them out the hallways and bathrooms as quickly as possible. Some classes might end up with 45 students others 12-15. Considering that the average high school class has 27 to 35 students.

The students and staff that were injured or died unfortunately didn’t make it into a locked classroom in time.
