Art Sale

Because the wolf is not just at the door, but actually barging into the living room and demanding a sandwich, I've reduced prices on the two pieces currently for sale in my Etsy store.

1skycell1small

"Sky Cell," 16" x 20", $100 Now $85

1stjude1small

Icon of St. Jude, 9" x 12", $85 Now $60

Thanks to Grey Cross Studios for photographing my work.
ETA: Both items are now also listed in my eBay store, where you can make a "Best Offer" if you wish.

Drawing Blood HC Sale

I'm having a sale of Drawing Blood hardcovers: $20 with free shipping in the US; add $8 for Canada, Mexico, or overseas. As always, copies are signed and can be personalized at your request.

I was up until 4 AM making papier-mache intestines. Life is precarious but fun.

Next Door

I've not had a chance to blog, put up auctions, or do much of anything else, as we've been busy getting Grey moved into the house next door to mine. He has been in the space for a little over twenty-four hours and has already rendered it more beautiful than my house. On the practical side, it gives him a better living/studio situation and saves me from driving across town all the time. On the purely mushy, lovey-dovey side, it feels as if the past year was our courtship, the present is our honeymoon, and the immediate future is our chance to build a life together. Tonight I'm messing around with paints again, and it's so good to know that when I get tired, I can let myself into the cool, dark, already home-feeling space next door and not have to go to sleep alone.

One Year

Tomorrow is the one-year anniversary of the day I met Grey, and what a year it has been. Thanks to the readers of this journal for your support during the difficult times and your happiness for us during the good ones. This is a good one.

Sky Cell

"Sky Cell," 16" x 20", $100

This one started out as an abstract, but somehow turned into the Vale of Arryn.

Argh

I have two new pictures to put up on Etsy, but the camera keeps ending up in one place and the pictures in another.

I intended to ship eBay and Etsy items today, but the city flooded.

I yam thwarted.

Etsy & eBay & Art, Oh My

The Etsy shop is going well -- now I just need to generate more artwork to stock it! A piece-in-progress, "Sky Cell," is almost finished, but with the emphasis on almost. It wants something else, and I'm not sure what. I don't mind, though. Having the pieces surprise me is my favorite part of making art.

I also have eBay auctions ending today:

- Wrong Things
- Drawing Blood hardcover
- Lost Souls deluxe 10th anniversary edition
- Guilty But Insane numbered edition
- Victorian mourning brooch with human hair
- Victorian mourning earrings with human hair

Thanks for checking it all out.

PZBJM Grand Opening

"eBay fees are klingon me," as the autocorrect function on my phone caused me to text Grey today, so on his advice and humglum 's, I decided to open an Etsy shop for selling artwork. In honor of its grand opening, I ended the eBay listings for the last two pictures I've posted here and relisted them on Etsy at reduced prices. I also listed a new piece:

1StVeronica1small

Icon of St. Veronica, 9" x 12", $100

The oval frame used in the composition is an antique iron one I dug up in my garden.

I'll still be selling signed books and occasional other items in my eBay store.

Secret Weapon

1SecretWeapon1small

"Secret Weapon," 16" x 20", enamel and acrylic paint, $150. This is the first one I've done that is simply a painting with no collagework.

Thanks to Grey Cross Studios for photographing my work.
