I've done three pictures on commission now, and find that I really enjoy it. One of the biggest differences from writing is that in painting, I actually like taking direction. It reminds me of being a little kid and bugging my parents, "What do you want me to draw now?"

Shit my mom says about my paintings, so far:
"Is that a bunch of eyeballs?"
"Where's her head?"
"I'd like it better without that horse."

She was much kinder about my artwork when I was five, but the work was probably better then.
