Work Thoughts

So I was spraypainting some sea sponges black, and it was taking a lot of paint.

"Gee," I thought, "these things are sucking up the paint like sponges."

And then I thought, " ... Oh."

My Response To The World Today (WITH CAPS)

1. WITHOUT STEPHEN KING I WOULD BE DEAD SO SUCK MY DICK.

2. I don't CARE about all these movies.

3. When you're young, you should be as bad as you want/need to, because your parents WILL get revenge eventually.

4. I hope it DOES end tomorrow.

PZBART on Etsy

I've opened a new Etsy shop, PZBART. Please look, follow, share, do whatever people do on Etsy. If you're interested in buying, they don't have an automatic "best offer" option, but I will consider all offers! Use the button in the listing to contact me.

Here are my current listings:

1ghostbox1small

"The Black Hand Society." Mixed media shadowbox sculpture, 15" x 15" x 2", wooden shadowbox, canvas, acrylic paint, copper wire, animal skulls, glass beads, glass bottles, more. $200 or best offer.

idieonanicefloesmall

"I Die On An Ice Floe Beneath The Northern Lights While The Vendetta Makes A Hasty Getaway In The Distance." Acrylic paint, copper wire, paper, snakeskin on canvas, 11" x 14", $75 or best offer.
[SOLD! If interested in commissioning a piece, please contact me at funkyegret (at) yahoo (dot) com.]

nocemeteryghosts3small

New Orleans Cemetery Ghosts No. 3." A painting/photographic collaboration by me and Grey Cross. Acrylic paint, professional quality photo paper, india ink, pastel chalk on 9" x 12" canvas, $40 or best offer.

I'll be keeping my eBay store, but I'm going to try putting new art pieces on Etsy and using eBay primarily for signed books, jewelry, and other miscellaneous items. I tried this before, but didn't stick with it long enough because there are things I really prefer about eBay. However, their fees are killing me -- I have to sell two to three paintings a month just to pay them, which is absurd. Also, I like that Etsy lets buyers use credit cards without having a Paypal account (though you can use Paypal too). If you've been thinking of getting a piece of artwork, please consider supporting PZBART. I'll be listing more items soon -- I've been doing a bunch of weird little sculptural things.

Three Crosses

threecrossessmall

"Three Crosses," black and white photographic print on professional-quality paper, 8.5" x 11", edition of 50, each signed and numbered, $10

It's rare that I take a photo I really like, but I'm pleased with the textures and shadows in this one. I took it at St. Joseph Cemetery #2 right here in Central City.
