She used her babysitting money earned over an entire year to get a full set. Now she likes to write her own books that spark the imagination. Her first novel, CYCLES, was a top 5 finalist of The Kindle Book Review’s “Best Indie Books of 2012.” She has recently appeared on televisions shows such as "Montezuma's Treasure" aired on the History Channel 2 in connection with her latest release, ROBBED OF SOUL ...more

“If you look past people’s clothes, houses, and cars, you may get lucky to see their real souls.”
Lois D. Brown, Cycles

“Walking into our greatest fear helps all of us remember who we really are.”
Lois D. Brown, Cycles

“Knitting was never something Maria could understand. However, as she watched Emily Hayward make stitch after repetitive stitch as the woman sat on her spotless couch, Maria began to understand its beauty. The constant brainless movement massaged Maria’s over-stimulated senses. It relaxed her thoughts, and soothed her desire to be fast, speedy, always going somewhere. “You don’t mind do you?” asked Emily, raising her knitting and gesturing toward Maria. “It relaxes me.” “I can see how,” Maria responded. “And no, I don’t mind.”
