Phantom No. 1 in The UK And Sweden
Jo Nesbø’s Phantom is the UK’s best selling paperback this week, fighting off stiff competition from the film tie-in editions of The Hobbit and Life of Pi. The novel is also No. 1 on the official Swedish paperback list this month.

Phantom No. 1 in Germany

Jo Nesbø’s I Am Victor to NBC
Former House executive producer Katie Jacobs has teamed with Jo Nesbø for I Am Victor, a drama at NBC based on Nesbø’s forthcoming book. Mark Goffman is writing, with Nesbø, Niclas Salomonsson, Jacobs and Television 360′s Daniel Rappaport and Meghan Lyvers executive producing for Universal TV. RWSG’s Jill Gillett brokered the deal for Salomonsson Agency.

Jo’s New Stand-Alone To Warner Bros.
Warner Bros. acquired screen rights to The Son, the new stand-alone thriller by Jo Nesbø, in an auction that had keen interest and bids from multiple studios.
The novel focuses on a young man who is in prison because he took the rap for crimes that others committed. The thriller starts as the young man’s father, who is said to be a corrupt cop, commits suicide. When the son learns that his father was actually an honest man who was murdered, he escapes to avenge the killing. Along the way, he also begins to rectify the crimes to which he confessed.
