Taurus – The World

Ruler Mercury turns retrograde this week in its ruling 3rd in your chart. So, I should  not need to remind you that because it is your ruler and in its ruling house, its capacity for madness and mayhem is increased exponentially. Mercury loves a joke and often during retrogrades – the joke’s on us. Now so more than ever. As this is your house of communication, ensure files are backed up, anything you send out is proofread, you get everything in writing and double-check it and you have a Plan B and a Plan C too. The upside of all this – you get to revise or revisit something and second time around is even better. Weave a new future outcome by going over old ground.

However, delays, snafus, crossed wires and breakdowns are likely. As is that joke being on you. Your 3rd rules journeys short in either distance or duration. Your 9th house is your house of long distance travel and also mass communications and mass media. One way of looking at your 9th house is to think of all things ruled by your sign – and then supersize them. So, if you are travelling at all, please allow extra time to get to wherever you are going. You have a full Moon in your 9th this week and it is also eclipsed. This is a full Moon under which to set sail towards something but your course may not be entirely clear. Eclipses always conceal something and this one asks that you pay close attention to what this may be. The Sun in your 3rd opposes retrograde Mars also in your 9th. This is the part where you need to ensure the joke isn’t on you as someone may be attempting to deliberately mislead or deceive you. Use extra caution when travelling, don’t go anywhere that feels unsafe and fact-check and double check. It’s not enough to take someone’s word for it. Business matters need to be gone over with a fine tooth comb and seek expert advice if necessary. You may need to enforce a few boundaries now as someone may attempt to cross them either professionally or personally. Don’t be afraid to say ‘The buck stops here’ this week unless you want to end up out-of-pocket – or a whole lot more.

Start a conversation this week, Cancer. It’s time to have the courage to come from a place of power when it comes to asking for what you want. Yes, that adds up to Mercury in Venus’s ruling house and Venus in Mercury’s. The usual Retro Rules which you should know by heart by now apply during this period, but the talk now certainly won’t be cheap. Relating to your money and the material world will be up for review. As this is Venus’s ruling house, have an audit on whether you feel more loved and valued now than you did this time last year.  It’s self-worth that sets your stock value.

Time to feel worthy and powerful as a total eclipse of the full Moon takes place in your 8th of shared resources, salary, mortgages, loans and benefits. What you owe, what you are owed and where you leverage those feelings of worth from the boardroom to the bedroom in other words. Remember, eclipses conceal and with Mercury retrograde in your money zone and the Sun opposing retrograde Mars in its ruling 8th, you need to ensure you understand any financial dealings you enter into now. Be transparent, have the courage to be upfront about what you want and stay connected to those values. Karma and the impact others have on your soul evolution, soul contracts and partnerships all feature this week, Leo. Expect people from your past or your past lives to surface now. Also you’ll be going back over your past and your own personal evolution. Yes, we do our biggest spurts of soul growth when we are in a relationship. But who we feel we are and our identity pays a massive role here. After all, our relationship with ourselves is the only one that is guaranteed to last a lifetime. This week sees Mercury turn retrograde in your 1st and with the emphasis on the past, a certain amount of navel gazing and also mirror gazing, may form part of this process. It’s not self-absorption but you asking serious questions of yourself about how you want others to see you and whether your relationships are evolving along the same path as you are. Also whether how you look is a true reflection of who you feel you are on the inside. Time to make adjustments to allow the real you to shine through if necessary.

You may not be sure what someone else is thinking or feeling this week or you may literally feel ‘shut out’ or ‘in the dark’ where a relationship is concerned as a total lunar eclipse occurs with the full Moon in your 7th on the 27th which also sees ruler the Sun shine a light on retrograde Mars also in this house. If you’ve been feeling something is ‘up’ or even ‘off’ with someone lately, then hold that thought. Eclipses conceal as well you know. The full Moon in our 7th usually reflects the Sun’s light back into our 1st.  So, each month this full Moon allows us to measure what others are reflecting back  at us. With the Moon in shadow – someone’s hiding something. Perhaps how they are truly feeling. Now, while you are waiting to see what will be revealed, all you can do is set the example but letting that real you shine. So, if your reflection in the mirror isn’t true to how you feel, start there. Eclipses comes in pairs. They occur when the new and the full Moon falls near the lunar nodes. Which is why we don’t get an eclipse every month. This week’s eclipse of the full Moon is in the Moon’s ruling house – your 4th. The Moon rules our emotions, these peak at the time of the full Moon and when that full Moon is eclipsed – well, you get the picture. Or not yet as of course eclipses conceal something. In the Moon’s ruling house the eclipsed Moon is all about being receptive rather than ‘doing’. And this is a good tactic because as I said, you don’t yet have the ‘big picture’. Eclipses often propel us out of our comfort zone as we have to deal with change. And this is your house of home, security and comfort. Despite the fact that Mercury turns retrograde this week in your 8th of change, endings, transformations and shared money, expect a release from something that has been holding you back. Normally you would be going over old ground here but thanks to a fabulous angle between Venus in your 9th and Pluto (who rules your 8th) in your sign, you get a sudden, soul-expanding transformation. Bonus. Of course, this does not mean you have been handed a ‘Get out of jail free’ card when it comes to the usual Mercury retrograde madness. The same old rules still apply. This is not a good time to take out new loans or enter into major agreements. It is a good one to renegotiate anything from which side of the bed you sleep on to that salary, benefits package or interest rate however.

The Moon rules our emotions and a full Moon brings our feelings to a peak. When the full Moon is eclipsed as is the one in your 2nd on the 27th, these feelings are going to be intense. But with an eclipse it’s important to remember that while the feelings may be powerful, they may not be warranted as things may not be exactly how they seem. You also have retrograde Mars in your 2nd caught up with this eclipse. As it is retrograde, this may stop you from having a knee jerk reaction to anything that pushes your buttons around your money, values, security or self-worth. Remember, the Moon is all about how we relate and in here it is how you relate to your values. As the shadow of the eclipse passes, you’ll see things for what they are, not how you feel they are. Above all, don’t sign any important papers or documents unless you can possible help it, or feel under pressure to do so. Don’t take out any new loans and don’t whatever you do, allow anyone to make you feel you are worth anything less if situations around relationships or money shift now. Ultimately, you are going to come out ahead as a release into a cycle of expansion is just around the corner.  Bank on that.
