The past could come door knocking this week. Possibly in the form of that past lover or you deciding to revive that project or pastime you used to love to do. Ruler Mercury is very much direct at the moment and in its ruling communication sector in your chart. By now you should know its transit through here brings you increased meetings, messages, texts, calls and emails, ideas and business opportunities that add up to you getting your word’s worth – or your ideas across. This week Mercury meets the very definitely retrograde Venus in here. Past communications feature as could missed job or commercial opportunities. Just like a Mercury retrograde, Venus backwards is good for going back over those creative projects and also picking up lapsed opportunities. Hearing from anyone from a past neighbour to a business contact is a distinct possibility now. Mercury in here favours travel usually short in either distance or duration. But you also have Jupiter which rules long distance travel in here as well. The good news is that unlike a Mercury retrograde, Venus retrograde does not affect transport or travel. You could however find yourself returning to somewhere you love.

Venus retrograde is not a good time to begin a new love affair or any new partnership. For you more than most, this retrograde brings a bigger past love theme to it than for other signs. The reason is Neptune which rules our past and our past lives, in your 7th. This week sees a fabulous angle form between Mercury and Neptune which could see a past love return. Just be open as to what this love could be as while it could turn up in human form it could also appear as that breakthrough business role or opportunity. Ruler Venus is making an oh-so-rare, everything’s up-in-the-air retrograde in its ruling 2nd. Love and money matters are very much on hold. Please keep a tight hold of the purse strings now. Because you are Venus ruled and Venus is in its ruling house, you will feel its effects more than other signs. It’s time to build a new relationship with your money. Venus retrograde in this house lends itself to this. Love your money as you would love yourself. Not in a having money for the sake of it kind of way, but in a way that reflects your values and your commitment to self-care. If you have debts, work out a plan of action to get these under control. One of the themes I am highlighting as part of this Venus retro cycle is that self-love and values include loving ourselves enough not to let ourselves experience the pain that debt can bring. And the only way to do this is not to spend the money. This lesson really does apply to you now, dear Libra.

That is not to say that even though money and love matters may be on hold, that benefits may not manifest for you. Especially if you have already been putting in the work. Time for a beautiful reinvention this week, Scorpio. Of course, you are the sign which specialises in this as you rule transformation and rebirth. This week it’s all about a make-over  or relaunch on a very personal level. Time to look and feel beautiful. Venus retrograde in your 1st asks whether or not this is how you do feel now. Are you in need to an update? Make yourself your own work of art. Just a word of caution before you throw that and your credit card to the winds in search of that new you – Venus retrograde can tempt us into expensive purchases and impulse buys around which we have major regrets just a short time later. Usually when Venus heads direct again which will occur mid-November. So, keep any expenditure within limits. If you have been thinking long and hard about changing your look for some time, then stick to this vision and you should avoid this common Venus retro pitfall.  This is an excellent time to think of your appearance as part of your ‘brand’ and look at what this is telling others about you.

Venus retro is not the time to begin a new love affair nor take on any new financial commitments – hence my warning about over-spending. It is however a time when past loves can reappear as can missed opportunities. What you hear around the 15th when Mercury and Venus meet in your 1st could spring from your past. Especially as ruler Pluto impacts on Ceres in your house of the past and Mercury opens up lines of communication with Neptune in your creativity and romance zone. However, this particular new Moon is different as it occurs when Venus which rules your 7th, is retrograde. So, it’s not so much about new beginnings but a love revival or resurrection. This new Moon makes powerful aspects to Pluto in your house of career and Neptune in its ruling 12th – which is the house which rules your past. Pluto rules death, transformation and rebirth so you can already see the themes emerging here.

This week could bring an old love or even a missed path or career opportunity, back into your life. There’s a more profound message here, and one aspect of this is that what is meant for you, will eventually come to you (or back to you as the case may be). Destiny plays a role thanks to Mercury in your 8th impacting on the cosmic North Node in your 5th of romance, children and glittering prizes, pleasure and recognition.

Sometimes something doesn’t happen at a particular time just because it just isn’t the right time for it to happen. This week could show you the truth of that. Gorgeous Aquarius!  This week you could benefit from relaxing, loosening your tight grasp on money, resources and people.  The Four of Pentacles reminds us that sometimes holding on to things, people, money, or situations for too long can be unhealthy or unrealistic. Try to examine what you are clinging to, and if others are clinging to you in an unhealthy way, this card is asking you to chill and relax if you can.

Sometimes we are fearful about not having enough money when this card shows up and it can feel like a natural urge to cling and hold onto things we feel we don’t have enough of.  Be mindful that anxiety and holding on tightly are uncomfortable and therefore block abundance coming to you more easily.  Whatever you feel you’re worried about this week, try to set it free by choosing love over fear.  It could be a person, money, a job or even a mindset or belief, practice non-attachment will give you freedom and remove stagnation.

Taking a step outside your comfort zone to make something happen will open up the flow of prosperity, being generous will also bring more abundance and goodwill to you this week.  This is a brilliant time to look within, turn your gaze inward and search for the places where you could be grasping, feeling fearful and trying to hold onto things. Meditation and mindful breathing can help you to be in the present moment and detach yourself from any worries you may be having. A new perception is emerging within you, by being open to change, you’ll be able to free yourself and ultimately feel happier.

Pisces – Seven of Pentacles

Beautiful Pisces, there’s likely to be a new opportunity presented to you this week.  This could come in the form of a new job offer, a new project, a new way of doing things. You’re likely to be looking at what you’ve achieved and thinking about the long-term future.  You may be reflecting on the value of what you do in the world and perhaps thinking about investing your time and energy more wisely.  There may be a decision to make related to your work that may require some patience and commitment from you to choose wisely.  You could be contemplating if it is time to stay on the tried and tested path or venture in a completely new direction.

If you decide to stay on the road you’ve already built it’s likely, you’ll feel safe but perhaps your risk stagnating and not realising your full potential. If you choose to go in a new direction, the road less travelled, you open yourself up to life, even this choice might be scary because you don’t know the outcome, ignoring this new possibility you could be ignoring divine planning and intervention.  The Seven of Pentacles tell us that we can see amazing results if our heart and soul is in what we are doing, is your heart and soul in what you’re doing?

The Seven of Pentacles can also signify a period of frustration where you’re not sure what to focus on or where to channel your energies.  If you feel this way, pause for a while and consider how far you’ve come and all you’ve achieved thus far, think about any implications of developing your own potential, do you feel like you’re on the best track for the best long-term reward?  Try to be grateful for what you have and be in the present moment as much as possible, the Seven of Pentacles is asking you to be honest with yourself, to trust and know that all the hard work and effort you’re putting in will pay off beautifully.
