Celebrate Our Lady of Guadalupe Feast Day
A note from Pat on the importance of this religious and cultural tradition for Mexicans and Mexican-Americans:

Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe
Friday, December 12th is the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Celebrate in the classroom by sharing Pat’s book with your students: The Beautiful Lady: Our Lady of Guadalupe (Spanish edition: La hermosa Señora: Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe).
Book activities:
After sharing the book, join students in making paper flowers. Sample instructions are here.

2015 Día National Program Registry is now open
The ALSC’s Día National Program Registry is now open for 2015, and ALSC is inviting libraries to begin registering their upcoming programs. By using the national registry, libraries help build a searchable database that showcases all types and sizes of library programs that highlight Diversity In Action.
Each registered event is given its own unique webpage allowing for libraries to share information about their Día program on their own website and through their social media outlets. Families...
