Since I love plants, every visit to Cincinnati where my husband teaches means a visit to the lovely Krohn Conservatory. Ah, we recently enjoyed the sweet & welcome scents of spring flowers. And isn’t this agave americana majestic? Nature’s wonders in various terrains.

Celebrate reading with Día!

In late January the Texas State Library & Archives hosted a webinar featuring Pat Mora and Mark Smith, Director and Librarian of the Texas State Library. The two had a lively discussion about celebrating Día, sharing their thoughts on how libraries can celebrate children and connect them to the world of learning through books and stories. About the May Hill Arbuthnot Lecture

Pat is honored to have been chosen to give the Arbuthnot lecture April 2016.

Enjoy some Pan Dulce with Pat Mora and Claudia Guadalupe Martinez

At ALA Midwinter, Cinco Puntos publisher Lee Byrd, Pat and author Claudia Guadalupe Martinez had a lively conversation about books, poetry and culture.




The talk was part of Cinco Puntos’ new web series, Pan Dulce, which pairs writers from two different indie presses in a lively discussions of their lives, loves, and books in the time it takes to drink some coffee and eat a sweet bread.
