Words of Comfort: Love anyone?

Do you have anyone you love? Your wife, kids, siblings? Then don’t let death take them from you forever. Repent, trust in Jesus and then share the gospel with them. Or could it be that you love your sins more than you love them?

Words of Comfort: Graveyard of false converts.

“I was a good person as a Christian. Now that I'm Atheist, I'm still a good person. Religious beliefs don't make a person bad.”It’s clear that you had no knowledge of God’s holiness and in the light of that, your own sinfulness. You were in the dark about your own moral standing before your morally perfect Creator. I was the same before I looked at the Ten Commandments in depth. Without that knowledge there is no way any of us can become a Christian, and so you had a false conversion. But you...

Words of Comfort: Name in vain.

"Ray and his followers see it [using God’s Name in vain] as blasphemy, whilst the rest of us just say it out of habit. To us it is just another saying." Christina KentTaking it “in vain” means that you count His holy name as worthless. It means nothing to you. It’s just another cuss word that rolls off your tongue when your grubby heart wants to express disgust. The Third Commandment says, “The Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His Name in vain.”Photo: [Source]

Words of Comfort: Above and beyond.

Recently a south Florida mother, Jessica Robles, was stopped by police as she walked out of a grocery store pushing a cart filled with $300 worth of food. Unfortunately, she had not paid for it. When she told a police officer that her children were hungry, she was charged with a misdemeanor and given a notice to appear in court. The officer then went above and beyond her call of duty by buying Robles $100 worth of groceries for her and her three hungry children.
Such kindness reminds the...

Words of Comfort: Escaped religion.

"I like to read posts by Christians and remember how lucky I am to have escaped religion and that I can think for myself now." John Botha
That's why we are glad you and other atheists are here. We want you to think for yourself and not have deluded God-haters shape your worldview.
“Religion” can't help a soul. It is just a works-righteous attempt to try and bribe God. Eternal life is a free gift of the Creator (see Romans 6:23). Take a few moments to check out www.needGod.com an...

Words of Comfort: Blind faith.

Here’s what you are forced to believe if you are an atheist and you believe in Darwinian evolution. It was fortunate and coincidental, that when man evolved, oxygen was present. Without it there would be no life. It was fortunate and coincidental that when man evolved gravity existed at 14.7 pounds per square inch, because without it he would have been flung into space. It was fortunate and coincidental that water existed and was available, because without it he would have died. It was also f...

Words of Comfort: Soften the Law.

Here’s how to get rid of the offense of God’s moral Law. Simply call adultery an “affair,” covetousness (greed) “gaming,” brothels “gentlemen’s clubs,” call lies “white,” call murder “a choice,” and homosexuality “gay.” Humanity may try and soften the Ten Commandments, but they were written in hard stone for a reason. They are permanent, and they will judge humanity on Judgment Day.
There is, however, another way to deal with the problem of the immutable Law. When a certain woman was caught in...

Words of Comfort: Countless crimes.

“The countless crimes committed by religious believers and justified by their beliefs makes it a very real problem for ALL of humanity.” Richard Notizia
The countless crimes (murder, rape, adultery, theft, lust, fornication, etc.) committed by non-religious unbelievers and justified by their unbelief makes it a very real problem for ALL of humanity. But don’t be concerned about injustice. The Day is coming when all those who have violated the Ten Commandments will be judged, and punished for t...

Words of Comfort: Take the test.

"Only non-believers don't believe in sin, so we don't sin." Bjarte Bjørkum
Sin is transgression of God’s Law. It’s the Bible word for lying, stealing, lusting, hatred, murder, adultery, etc. So I have a problem with your assertion that atheists don’t lie, steal or lust. I have spoken to thousands of atheists and I don’t recall even one of them saying that he hadn’t broken some, if not all of the Commandments. If you disagree, take the test. Go through each of the Commandments (with a te...

Words of Comfort: The sound man.

Have you ever noticed that nobody thinks about the sound man at a church service, until something goes wrong. If a microphone screeches or doesn’t work, suddenly everyone turns in annoyance to look for the person who is causing the problem. The unsaved treat God the same way.
