Inside, I’m screaming…

Right now, I am wishing I didn’t start this, but it is what it is…

But will it get any better? I hope so…

Back to the drawing board, I think…

Why does Learning Hurt?

You guessed it. I tried to do something yesterday, and unfortunately, I made a pig’s ear out of it.

I have since learned that it wasn’t my fault. What I was trying to change didn’t have that capability.

Now, in order to accomplish what I want, I must make other changes and then try again.

Or maybe not. Perhaps I am too old and should leave well enough alone?

Introducing Charlie Fletcher… #Fiction

As promised, today we showcase the leading character of The mystery of Folly’s End.

Introducing Charlie Fletcher…

“Hello everyone,

my writer has devised a clever idea to introduce myself to the book-reading public.

I am supposed to wow you with my fantastic personality, if I can remember where I left it.

I am part of a very successful Interior Design company based in London. We are well known for our innovative concepts.

A single, fun-loving woman, the eldest of two warring sisters. Although, we couldn’t get on these days if our lives depended on it.

This wasn’t always the way with us. As children, we were the best of friends, but when she stole the love of my life and married him, she ruined any chance of a happy ever after for either of us. Luckily, my sister moved away before I could get my hands on her. I have hated her ever since.

So, when I received a frantic call for help the other day, I had mixed feelings. Turns out, the love of both our lives was missing, presumed dead, leaving my poor sister with no money and two kids to look after.

Should I ignore the call or tell her to take a running jump?

It’s not as easy as it sounds. As I said before, I am a businesswoman; I can’t take off on a mercy mission at the drop of my sister’s hat. But for some reason, one I can’t seem to put my finger on, I packed a bag and travelled to Bognor on Sea, turning up at her door the next day.

Can I patch up the past, forgive my sister, sort out her problems and get back to London before I am missed?

Why don’t you come along with me on the 4th of August and find out?

Best wishes

Charlie”

I wonder what I would do in similar circumstances? I too, have a sister, so quite familiar with the problems that can come with siblings and/or family.

One by one, you will be meeting the rest of cast. I enjoyed meeting them and I hope you will too…

Best wishes!

Grey Skies and Bonsai… #Poetry #Bonsai

Morning everyone, it’s not so good this morning. The sunshine has gone, and grey is the colour of the morning here. Those character bio’s for the book launch are not quite finished, so hoping for tomorrow. It must be the grey skies, but I feel a little doom and gloom hovering just out of sight, … Continue reading Grey Skies and Bonsai… #Poetry #Bonsai

Launching ? #Book Release

I have launched several books as a writer/editor, but this one, The Mystery of Folly’s End, is turning out to be a little different. It could possibly be my last opus, although I hope not. My preliminary preparations seemed odd, and I feel the need to launch it differently too. If I can decide what … Continue reading Launching ? #Book Release

Ever Wanted a Clone of Yourself?

Image by James from Pixabay I don’t seem to have any ‘me’ days any more. Those glorious days that always had me feeling as though I was on the right track. These days, I have to settle for ‘me’ moments, and they are getting to be as rare as hen teeth! Yesterday was one of the good days. … Continue reading Ever Wanted a Clone of Yourself?

A Tiny Buddha Moment… #Quotes

This is for me and all those who sometimes find themselves struggling… Struggling can be a good thing, if you manage to get where you’re going… By the end of this week, I am launching my book, The Mystery of Folly’s End, into the world. How’s that for getting somewhere? I will be posting excerpts … Continue reading A Tiny Buddha Moment… #Quotes

At The Crossroads…

Image by ZolTan from Pixabay What are we supposed to do when life insists on calling all the shots? Especially now that I am getting too old to make any decisions, I wouldn’t recognise a good idea if it came gift-wrapped. The only thing I know for sure, and I am very grateful for this, is that my … Continue reading At The Crossroads…
