Word Count, Edits, and Awesome Reader Emails

WRITING UPDATE

Sometimes, I just want to print reader emails poster size and frame them. They’re that awesome.

Slept in this morning, but since I found myself answering reader emails at 3am, I think I’ll let the laziness slide.

Today, 100 pages of edits to get through. Coffee. Check. Social Media. Chec…oh, wait, that means I should probably not open social media…

I have gotten some amazing word count and progress done this week in writing world. I am so thrilled about a lot of projects coming up this year.

Liar!

Where is that personal chef I forgot to hire? Hungry and don’t want to cook.

Really wishing for one of those Dragon Lords’ food simulators about right now. I tried clicking the pizza button on the microwave, but it didn’t give me a pizza. The liar.

Thank you Volunteers!

Local animal shelter called to tell me they put my name up on a plaque. Aw, sweet of them but not why I do it. I animals.

Thank you to everyone who gives whatever they can–money, time to working at the shelter, dog walking volunteers, or simply dropping off food/enrichment items. You’re the real heroes in the lives of animals!

Working through plot hiccups or small roadblocks. What are your tricks?

Working through plot hiccups or small roadblocks. What are your tricks?

I know a lot of writers are on here. Do you have tricks you use for working through the plot hiccups? In the past, changing gears (like to marketing or business admin) helps because I step away from it. Also, showers help–the warm quiet can shake things loose. I know some authors who exercise.

Luckily, right now that’s not my issue. My issue is deadlines and word count…so I have to hop back into it.

Say something clever for me?

Say something clever for me?

So, as I sit here, pre-coffee trying to think of something more clever than a zombie, uggggggghhhh, I got nothing.

What I do have, lovely readers, is really good word flow on Dragon Lords. I’m going to stick with that and keep working. And maybe shower. Showering is good. Definitely more coffee. Ah, the writing life.

Some people act like writing is so very glamorous.

Some people act like writing is so very glamorous. *looking at robe and fuzzy pj pants, avoiding mirrors* Yeah, glamorous.

I’m not complaining. I prefer fuzzy pjs to ballgowns. :) Love my job!

What is your fave city that you’ve been to? And Why?

What is your fave city that you’ve been to? And Why?

I’m toying with a book idea. Yeah, yeah, I know, Dragon Lords. I’m working, I swear, lol. But if I don’t let my brain imagine a little it will rebel against me and blow up planets. We don’t want that. We love the Draig. We don’t want to destroy their homeworld.

If someone came up to me and said, you have to move, NOW. I’d say Boston.

I loved Boston. Ok, so we were by Little Italy and I saw this older-older man making pasta from scratch, which might account for my love a little. I know there is like a 50 year age difference, and he’s probably married, but I think I just might… I mean, Hi Manfriend, good morning

Downtown was just awesome, beautiful, so full of history. They has a giant sculpture of a macaroni noodle, so you know they worship the right deities…what? Is that not right?

The people were really nice. Ok, so the college kids were drunk college kids on a weekend, but they were still polite. Dear College Girl, pull the skirt down a few inches. You can still have fun without showing the color of your panties. Signed, a mother.

And Mandy M. Roth made a new erm friend (that’s all I’m sayin).

Question: Do you think online dating/internet love is possible?

Question: Do you think online dating/internet love is possible?

I do, but I’m a romantic and a skeptic. So just be careful. Love exists, but so do con artists.

I admit, I like watching College Humor. It makes me laugh. I’ve also caught a few episodes of the show Catfish.

Ok, Disclaimer: In real life situations, the concept of catfishing does make me sad for the people who put their heart on the line but fall in love with something that doesn’t exist. On internet, and non-internet, dating is hard and you have to be careful/smart. But, I’m a romance author, so naturally I believe love is out there.

That said, this made me laugh in it’s over the top absurdity.
