The funeral of Freddie Gray and other murder victims
I haven't posted about Gray or a number of other murdered Black people here before because I am ashamed. I am ashamed that so many police officers and, in some places, police departments, in my country feel it is okay to ignore their own oaths of service and the laws of this country when it comes to anyone who is not white and wealthy. I am ashamed of the list of deaths in custody that has unscrolled only this year, let alone in previous years.

April Sucks
But . . . but . . . but . . . you cry. The little singing birdies! The BIG singing birdies! Tiny green buds and shoots that stick out of ground you swore was dead last month! The arrival of bright flowers so cautious they stick close to the ground! Fresh breezes sweeping out the glooms of . . . a really lousy three months of snow.

Cracking the case on this Bad Boy

Join us in standing up for reproductive health and education. Planned Parenthood, the organization that delivers reproductive health care, sex education and information to millions of people worldwide, has come under fire in the U.S. lately, with many politicians on both state and federal level seeking to end funding (and in a few cases succeeding).
