STEEL & STONE NEWS: The Big Reveal!
Thank you so much to everyone who helped make the Immortal Fire launch a success! I'm delighted that readers enjoyed Emi and Shiro's story so much, and the series was such a pleasure to write.
But now you're probably wondering what I'm writing next? Well! I've been absolutely dying to tell you.
This is a three-part reveal, so buckle up! ;)
**Big Reveal 1 of 3: LYRE'S PREQUEL SERIES**
Do you remember the teaser excerpt at the end of Unleash the Storm? Lyre's story is finally coming this fall!
Spell Weaver will be a standalone trilogy that takes place a few years before the start of the Steel & Stone series. Discover Lyre's dark past, see the beginnings of his friendship with Ash, and meet a new heroine who gives Lyre a serious run for his money in the troublemaker department.
Lyre prefers to go unnoticed, which is a tricky objective for an incubus. He can’t hide his delectable good looks, but he’s learned to hide his true intentions. After all, who would expect the flirtatious pretty boy to be smart or cunning … or dangerous.
In the dark Underworld, he’s an unwilling pawn of the tyrannical Hades family, weaving spells of death and destruction at their command. But with the arrival of an Overworlder into their midst, he sees an opportunity. She’s a walking catastrophe, a whirlwind of secrets and trouble—in other words, a distraction. He can make very good use of a distraction.
No one has escaped this hell yet … but there’s a first time for everything.

**Big Reveal 2 of 3: RETURN TO THE STEEL & STONE SERIES**
One of the most frequent requests I get from readers (aside from a Steel & Stone sequel) is to experience some scenes from a different character's perspective. A lot goes on in the series that Piper doesn't see for herself, and there's always a certain amount of mystery about what other characters—especially Ash and Lyre—are thinking.
Do you see where I'm going with this? ;)
Coming later this year, I'll be releasing a new addition to the Steel & Stone series that revisits events from Ash's and Lyre's perspectives—including some all-new scenes that Piper missed out on while she was off getting into trouble.
Get inside Ash's head for his first conversation with Piper, find out what Lyre was up to while Piper was a prisoner in Asphodel, follow Ash and Lyre on their way to rescue Piper from the Gaians, and more. I'm really excited about this project! It will be a mix of familiar scenes and new ones, and lots of time with the two leading men.
I'll be sharing more information on the book down the road!

*gasp* Is this ...?? Could it be ...???
Yes, it is. ;)
This is my official announcement that yes, I plan to continue the Steel & Stone series with a new sequel series! And yes, that means more Piper and Ash! :D
I don't have a lot of details to share yet, but here's a quick overview:
- I'll set a release date for the first book at some point after Spell Weaver is complete, so 2018 at the earliest.
- The story will take place a few years after the end of Unleash the Storm.
- The sequel will continue storylines from both Steel & Stone and Spell Weaver.
- It will be "standalone," meaning it'll have a self-contained plot. New readers will be able to jump right in without reading the other two series.
- I'm not sure yet how many books will be in the series.
That's all I can say for now except that I'm really excited to catch up with Piper, Ash, and Lyre again. I've really missed those three!

Then her half-brother offers her a chance to earn her place in the royal family. All she has to do is acquire some magic … by stealing it from the most dangerous spell weavers in the three realms. But she can’t turn down her only shot at returning home, even it means a visit to the Underworld.
Lyre prefers to go unnoticed, which is a tricky objective for an incubus. He can’t hide his looks or his coveted spell weaving skills, but he's learned to hide his true intentions. As an unwilling pawn of the tyrannical Hades family, he stays alive by keeping one step ahead of his masters.
His latest assignment, however, might be a problem: supervising a young, beautiful, and utterly perplexing Overworld visitor. One who’s definitely hiding something. And when every step she takes triggers chaos and catastrophe, he knows she'll never survive this world.
The thing is, he’s no longer sure he can survive it either.

The cover reveal is coming August 21st. I'm really excited about this book! Lyre's narration was so fun to write--especially with the leading lady making his life so difficult. ;) I can't wait to hear what you guys think!
