50 Years of the Ford Mustang

"It was love at first sight for Fred Glazier, who saw the Ford Mustang at the 1964 World’s Fair. Soon after, he bought his own, and he still drives it today..."
Thanks to Warren Newman, esq. for the heads-up on this New York Times video.

1961 Buick LeSabre

The car was at Motorland, in Biddeford, Maine. Kinda packed in. Hard to get a good angle, and impossible to get a profile.

1949 Advanced Design Chevrolet 3100 (and bike): Santa Barbara

GM's Advanced Design-era trucks are possibly our favorite species. (Another example is up here.) And if you google "Autoliterate Advanced Design" you'll catch a herd of them. Found this restored specimen on Coast Village Road, Santa Barbara.

New York Times & Rat Rods & Strong City

Thanks to Larry Nordell, for pointing out this piece on rat rods in the New York Times
Reminds me of the S.E. Schroer & Co. speed shop in Strong City, KS which I came across on a drive through the Flint Hills last fall. That post is up here.
