Awesome 99 Cent eBooks That Will Rock Your World
Million-selling indie author John Locke described his philosophy about his 99 cent ebooks in today's market is not that he has to prove why his books aren't 10 times as expensive, but that traditional publishing has to prove why their books are worth 10 times as much.
As a successful and growing indie publisher and author, I see the rapidly-growing market for 99 cent Kindle and Nook ebooks exploding by leaps and bounds because there are lots of avid readers out there who love great content, but hate big publisher prices. That's why I warmly welcome you to check out some of my 99 cent ebook offerings. And remember, you don't actually need a Kindle or Nook to read my ebooks!

Time to Get Pissed Off…
PRAISE FOR MARK YOSHIMOTO NEMCOFF and PACIFIC COAST HELLWAY
"Imagine Howard Stern dropping acid with Trey Parker and Jon Stewart…— PLAYBOY MAGAZINE
That's right everybody, my new book PISSED OFF: IS BETTER THAN BEING PISSED ON is out now for KINDLE, NOOK (and coming soon for iBOOKS)
PACIFIC COAST HELLWAY PRESENTS:
"PISSED OFF: Is Better Than Being Pissed On," a comedic tour-de-force by best-selling and award-winning author and humorist Mark Yoshimoto Nemcoff as he uses his acid wit to shred the topics that cause his blood to boil, including:
- CHILD BEAUTY PAGEANTS:
"You can always tell the pedophiles in the audience. Those are the guys whose faces light up like a fat kid watching a stuffed crust pizza commercial."
- COMPETITIVE EATING:
"Three and three-quarter pounds of Rocky Mountain Oysters. Holy sh*t, dude. That's the most balls in one guy's mouth since the the last time the Village People played Elton John's birthday party on Fire Island."
- REALITY SHOWS ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE'S JUNK:
"You don't NEED a mint condition Darth Vader figure in the package to survive unless you're a pretty girl who gets cornered at Comic-Con and need something to toss as a distraction so you can escape without being eye-raped by every nerd in a Starfleet costume."
- THINKING THE DINOSAURS ROAMED THE EARTH 10,000 YEARS AGO:
"It's fairly obvious that if you don't believe that the dinosaurs lived millions and millions of years ago, you're stranded on the short bus in the middle of moron bridge over the raging rapids of dumbf*ck river."

My Berlin Wall – A Piece of Freedom
I'm not really a collector. I'd like to be someday. I have a few interesting things laying around. This is probably my favorite. It's an actual piece of the Berlin Wall.
This piece was given to me by my dad who received it from a reporter buddy of his who was covering the fall of the wall back in 1989 and scooped up a suitcase full of bits and chunks after it had been torn down and destroyed by protesters.
I've seen pieces of the Berlin Wall elsewhere. The Ronald Reagan museum in Simi Valley has a big slab of it. One of the things you first notice with the Berlin Wall is the difference in the concrete that was used.
When you turn over the grafitti paint covered front of my piece you don't see the porridge-like slurry you find in modern American concrete. Instead, this Cold War era East German concrete is loaded full of rocks and pebbles as well as lots of bits of quartz and silica. Originally, I wanted to write this post on Nov. 9th, the 22nd anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, but I've been busy. Lately, I've been watching and following the "Occupy" movement stuff online and when I see this piece on the shelf in my office every day, it makes me think that there's power in our words and actions that go far beyond the bounds that have been set for us by those who like to keep us where we are.
