Romantic Times Are Nearly Upon Us…

And you know what that means…travelogue!

But first, an apology. I must say I've been depressed on the writing front for quite a while and it's sapped my creativity in terms of blogging for y'all. I'm nearing the end of a really decent revision on my first novel as Daniel Marks and have my agent and YA authoress Tiffany Trent to thank for pointing me in the right direction this time. I have no word about any future Amanda Feral novels, but I'm certainly thankful for fan's continued interest...

Just One Thing…

I'm going to be at University Books in Seattle tonight for the Close Encounters of the Urban Kind thing along with editor Jennifer Brozek, Nate Crowder, Rosemary Jones & Erik Scott de Bie. I should be reading from my short story, SEAFOAM, that appears in this month's Apex (if you haven't read it, click here).

The show starts at 7PM and goes until I overturn the signing table and storm out in a huff.

Wanna Hook Up?

Well then get your ass over to the Barnes & Noble in Tukwila, WA tomorrow afternoon between 1 and 4 PM. I'll be playing games, doing scavenger hunts and signing books (maybe even some of my own) with Jessa Slade (Seduced by Shadows), Gayle Ann Williams (Tsunami Blue) and the elusive Harry Connolly (Child of Fire). I can't guarantee murder and mayhem, but I'm sure as shit going to try to set a few fires!

Seriously. There's been a noticeable absence of urban fantasy fans at events lately.

Y'all b...

Catching Up with Depeche Mode!

…or just, you know, me. And other peeps!

Though, while we're on the topic of what's current in fashion (see what I did there?) let's talk about my friend Synde's new jewelry line, under the design name: CEMETERY CAT. She's trying out some Chthulu and steampunky shiz that really is hot snatch. Check it out here and then buy 'til your genre wallet is empty (food is overrated, after all), and tell her it's because of me, 'cause daddy's poor and needs a kickback like a motherfucker!

So it's...

In Lieu of Actual Blogging…

I've loaded a heavily captioned photo album from our NYC/DC trip on Facebook. With photos such as this one depicting me as our nation's majestic unicorn.

Just A Sec…

…to say that I've chosen the winners of the Rob Thurman, Publishing Roadkill Contest. And to say that the winners will have to wait for their prizes is an understatement.

The Grand Prize of Original Snark Art, signed by both me and Rob goes to…

Qwill

And the winner of the snarked up copy of Nightlife (which I just started reading) is…

Jesse S.!

Y'all should have just gotten some emails.

Congratulations!

Plans Change

Caroline and I leave Monday for a 10 day trip to New York and D.C., and I'm pissing myself excited about it. Initially, though, I'd thought I'd schedule some events, signings and such, which didn't pan out, primarily because, well, Seattle is a long way from New York and since this whole writery thing happened, Caroline hasn't had a decent vacation that wasn't somehow related to a convention or conference. So…

What I will do is a couple of stock signings, while I'm in both cities and then...

Publishing ROADKILL: A Contest of Sorts!

Yes, I realize that title could be about me, what with my struggles (cue violins), but not this time. Nope. Today's contest is all about Rob Thurman (insists she's not a man), the author of the Cal Leandros urban fantasy series, or so I'm told–haven't read them, though I'm certain they're adequate–I kid, it's at the very least fantastic.

A while back, a friend of mine, Kat Richardson (Greywalker series), attended DragonCon and hung out with Rob (not short for Robert, as far as I can tell...

Release Day!!!

5 1/2X8 1/4 3/4

Wow. It's 7:30 pm here in the great Pacific Northwest and I'm nearly done in. Yep. Today was the launch for Battle of the Network Zombies and I've been spread super thin between vlogging and fielding questions on guest posts and loading crap onto YouTube. Arggh.Anyways…Battle is out, go get it if you like zombie smut, or if you just like me and want me not to have to give up this writing gig. Actually, that's a bit dramatic because I've still got stories in my head, so I'm pretty sure I can...
