Ball Boy Tactics (2025)

 Ball Boy Tactics, another drama adapted from a manhwa, was very nice, sexy but not too much. There was a sort of in Kwon Jungwoo that made you melt everytime they made a close-up and the innocence of Han Jiwon was cute but not stupid. I like how Kwon Jungwoo pursed Han Jiwon, with intensity but not overwhelming him, and yes, I liked that he also respected him when Han Jiwon was drunk and easy prey. It was refreshing to see how Kwon Jungwoo wasn't worried to be interested in another man, and even if hinted, I would have not minded to see the public reaction to their relationship. Heart Stain (2025)

 I almost skipped Heart Stain because, true be told, I haven't heard about it. But while browsing GagaOOLala to find what to see before sleeping (basically I wanted something not too engaging to lull me to sleep) I decided to click on this one, and guys, was I surprised? The story is very sweet and the main characters are young and innocent (first kisses, first heartbreaks, everything is a first). I was a little worried about the teacher, since it felt he was a little too personal with his students, but it wasn't actually a real worry. In the end Heart Stain was a nice and not overly dramatic story about young men, and some women too, in love. HEA. You can see it on GagaOOLala and IQIYI. Heat Level: 3/6.

Gelboys (2025)

Gelboys is probably too realistic to be defined a BL romance. Meaning, it's a gay story, actually more than one, but it's crude, realistic and not really romantic. I can say I appreciate the real deciption of Thai youth, probably the very first time we see it, but I'm a romantic at heart, and my heart wasn't really satisfied by the romance. So if you want something different, and real, this one is probably a very good choice. You can see it on iQIYI. Heat Level: 4/6.

Century of Love (2024)

 Century of Love wasn't bad but I think it could have been better. Meaning the story is good (even if not original) and the main characters were spot on. But I think they could have pushed a bit more on the confusion of San when he realized he desires Vee, a man, when his past love was instead a woman. Moreover I would have also put a little more real sex rather than wet dreams. But all the other aspect of the story is quite nice, the whole supporting characters and, even if limited, also the settings, the temple and the house were quite good. HEA. Secret Relationships (2025)

 Secret Relationship is way darker than expected. I don't want to reveal much, but I would say this is more a thriller than a romance. The reason why I chose to see it is double: the actors are quite handsome, and it's an adaption from a manhwa, that usually are really romantic stories. Therefore the surprise when I realized the romance is some of background to the real story. Anyway if you want something of completely different, this is the choice. HEA. Depth of Field (2025)

 If you had read the manga from where Depth of Field has been adapted, you would have had the spoiler that this is not a sexy drama, on the contrary of most BL drama adapted from a yaoi manga. Depth of Field is more celebral, more about the inner struggle of Hayakawa Shuichiro (that sincerely I really don't understand, I think this is really a Japanese thing) than about the relationship between him and Konno Ryohei. Sure, in the very first episode, Hayakawa comes out like a sexually free spirit, having sex out of pleasure more than love, but that is just the first impact and then the story moves on another level. I would say this is a really good production if you think to Japanese standard: the two main characters are ordinary guys, in look and attitude, and I think they actually behave like their age asks. See Your Love (2025)

 See Your Love is a mix of good and bad: good the chemistry between the two main characters, little guilty pleasure the different heights, and the snapshot of Zi Xiang being on tiptoe to be able to kiss Shao Peng; I love these two and their relationship is sweet and nice, a little bit sexy but not too much; I think they also respected the deciption of a deef man in Shao Peng. Bad: everything related to Zi Xiang's family, and it's quite absurb and unrealistic. Lucky us, it's not the main topic of the story, so you can just skip those part. I think they also wanted to be cute but a little more sexy in the side story of Cheng Feng Jie and Wang Xin Jia, but actually I found it superfluous: nice but not needed. HEA. Secret Lover (2025)

 Guilty pleasure yesterday I was having a night where nothing was fitting my taste and so I started this Taiwanese drama with only 2 episodes, Secret Lover, knowing nothing about it aside the main characters where cute... well the fact that it was adapted from a manga title "There's no way we're done after cumming!" should have given me an hint... anyway, the drama adaptation is way more chaste than the manga, but it's very sexy. We will see how it goes on, for now, it is, as I said, a guilty pleasure. You can see it on GagaOOLala. Heat Level: 5/6.

Top Form (2025)

Top Form is adapted from one of my favorite manga, Dakaichi: I'm Being Harassed By the Sexiest Man of the Year. Already the title of the manga let you understand there is a controversial episode in the original story: the young actor, Jun, forces the older actor, Akin, to have sex. Of course it's a romance, therefore Jun and Akin fall in love at episode one and from them moment one it's a slide towards happinness, actually I cannot say if it's an happily ever after, since the series is ongoing, but it's a given. For the drama adaptation, they used the flashback in the manga to fill the first episodes of the story (with little adaptation) and the famous (or infamous) sex scene that is in the first volume of the manga, is actually just a request for an hug in the drama; sex will arrive a little later. Aside from that I have to say they managed to maintain the light comedy style, with little drama. I found a little disconcerting to see it in a Thai drama, instead of a Japanese adaptation, but that is just a visual effect. Both the Thai actors they choose for the drama are good and their chemistry together is really good. The moment of intimacy don't feel akward at all. A little pet peeve of mine, I would have liked some more budget spent on the sideline effect like setting and wardrobe, but indeed the music is really nice. HEA. You can see it on WeTV.
