2020-2021 Rainbow Awards Honorable Mention: The Dancer's Dilemma (Campus Connections #3)
The Dancer's Dilemma (Campus Connections #3) by CJane Elliott
Sweet, and at times heartwrenching second chance romance. The idea of knowing that the man who gave you a do-over is leaving the country to pursue a dancing career is heartbreaking for Nat. Luckily, dancer Tyrone is told that choreographer Arnaud is not only proposing romance exclusively for him but has done so with other dancers allowing Tyrone to drop the idea of leaving for France. I enjoyed reading this story.

2020-2021 Rainbow Awards Honorable Mention: Keeping Promises
Keeping Promises by Jodi Payne & BA Tortuga
I wholeheartedly Loved reading this second chance story. Sweet, profound, emotionally charged, and all around beautiful. Well written and oh, so satisfying. The kids in the story tied it all together and were simply adorable. I also enjoyed the banter amongst all the cowboys when they got together in a couple of scenes. At times it was comical with good times all around.

You Had One Job by L.A. Witt & Cari Z.
Ordinarily, I'm not a fan of mob-related stories--that is, I don't seek them out. However, this one was so well written, fast-paced, and engaging that I was able to fall into the story anyway.

2020-2021 Rainbow Awards Honorable Mention: The Experiment
The Experiment by Rebecca Raine
The Experiment was just so fun to read. The premise was lighthearted and the execution was flawless, but I also found that it asked interesting questions about personality, growth, and fear of change. So I would say this was an exceptional mix of humor, romance, spice, and a bit of psychological introspection. Kudos!

2020-2021 Rainbow Awards Honorable Mention: Counter Culture
Counter Culture by J.L. Merrow
My only complaint about Counter Culture is that it seemed to be missing part of it--I wanted more! I loved the premise of a steampunk gentleman falling for a retail professional, and the very realistic challenges of a new father trying to welcome romance back into his life. The style was exceptional, the setting perfectly believable, and the characters were real and interesting. A compelling package, though I hope there will be a sequel.

Franklin in Paradise by John Patrick
Very well written all around. His handling of autism was truly outstanding and a subject that I believe is extremely important for more people to see the reality. I only deducted one point from writing style because I felt there were a couple of loose ends in plot finalization.
