Dr. O. David Gold was born in the small hamlet of McEwensville, PA. He served as a Navy musician in the Korean War. He then earned his BS and MS degrees in History and Music at Bucknell University. This was followed by a long tenure of teaching history and philosophy. He earned his Ph.D at the University of Maryland. Eighty-five plus years young, he still continues to teach at the OLLI program. He is the author of two books.
