Seaside Chapel Book 2

SC02-meme-sm

When Share with Me (Seaside Chapel Book 1) was published in the summer of 2015, little did I know that it would take almost two years for Step with Me (Seaside Chapel Book 2) to be released. I dont rush art, and there is a time for everything, including when Emmelines and Sebastians story would be told. This is the time.

Of course, for those who arent on my mailing list (never too late to sign up, right?), you might not know that in between Seaside Chapel books 1 and 2, I published 9 other books in the Savannah Sweethearts and Vacation Sweethearts collections. And I contributed books to seven multi-author anthology boxed sets. Whew. So it wasnt like I was just staring out the window watching the grass grow.

Step with Me takes place after Share with Me ends, and following this novel, there will be a third book in the Seaside Chapel series. I cant wait to finish writing Sing with Me (Seaside Chapel Book 3), and I hope you will enjoy reading that novel too when it is released. I hope it will be this year, but dont quote me on that. Haha.

Peace, Be Still...

VS02-Psalm4610-bookcover-sm

This months novel is REACH FOR ME (Vacation Sweethearts Book 2). You can read the book description HERE. In the valleys of their lives, two people run into each other on top of the Great Smoky Mountains one fine season...

The scripture focus of the REACH FOR ME novel is Gods peace. We can be still before God because if we belong to Him, then He Himself is our peace. You can find these two verses at the back of the novel on theFarewell from Keenan and Phoebe page:

And he arose, and rebukedthe wind,
and said unto the sea, Peace, be still.
And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
And he said unto them,
Why are ye so fearful?
How is it that ye have no faith?
Mark 4:39-40

Be still, and know that I am God:
I will be exalted among the heathen,
I will be exalted in the earth.
Psalm 46:10

For a short period of time until the series is completed this novel will be available in Kindle Unlimited on Amazon. That means its currently Amazon exclusive.

For readers who usually shop outside Amazon, hang in there. As soon as Book 4 is done (two more books to go), the entire Vacation Sweethearts series will be available outside Amazon as well as on Amazon.

Day 5: No Dishwasher

jxlf4kyvt-a-jessica-ruscello-SM

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28).

Agatha Christie has been known to have said that she did a lot of writing while doing dishes. Well, I have done some plotting over the years when I loaded the dishwasher. While waiting for my new dishwasher to arrive this week, please! Ive had a lot of thinking time while doing the dishes by hand.

God is good.God is always good.God has been good to me.God will be good to me.God has my family's best interest in mind.God is sovereign.God is still good, no matter what.

I think focusing on God and His lovingkindness is a win-win!

Joyfully,
Jan

Day 2: No Dishwasher

"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time (1 Peter 5:6).

God is sovereign. I have a big advertisement going out next week and I'm kept humble because my dishwasher broke yesterday and the new one won't be delivered until the day of my advertisement runs. Thus, I have a double countdown.

This little speed bump is to glorify GOD.

How cool is that? Doing dishes everyday to glorify God. Good opportunity!

Joyfully,
Jan

Verses of the Day

"Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up (James 4:10).

"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time (1 Peter 5:6).

"Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble (1 Peter 5:5).

"Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering (Colossians 3:12).

A Time to Write

writing-828911 1920

"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).

From time to time my author friends and I discuss productivity. I remember when my son was little, I wrote very little because there was simply no time. Diaper duty took all day LOL.

I do believe there is a time for everything. Even the Israelites back in the days had to stay in the desert for a while before they entered the promised land because, among other things, God was purifying them from Egypt. So when I wasn't writing for a while, I realized that I was supposed to spend more time with God and in the end, that shaped my writing more than anything else. It was interesting how God puts pieces of our steps together for us.

One thing that kept me plotting and outlining even when I was unable to get full books written when my son was little was when an author friend told me about the "seasons of life." I had to take it in stride. The good news is that after plotting and outlining for years I have a boatload of books now I can churn out. No need to sit somewhere to think out a plot. Got one for every book I want to write. :-)
