What is a Mother to Do?
"She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness��� (Proverbs 31:26).
Praise the Lord for the opportunity to chat with my mother this morning, across 12 time zones, to wish her a Happy Mother���s Day. I read a scripture verse to her, and all is well.
After I cooked breakfast for the family, this happened.
First, Dear Son said he was feeling terribly sick. Could we skip Sunday School and just go to the church service?
We thought about it, and decided it would be OK just this one time to miss Sunday School. After all, it���s allergy season. Or maybe he caught a cold. Most likely it���s allergies, we figured.
Then the other shoe dropped.
Dear Son threw up! Are you kidding me?! Threw up! Not once, but multiple times!
So what is a mother to do?
We were going to take separate vehicles to church, anyway, because after church, Dear Hubby has to drive to the airport to pick up my mother-in-law, who is flying home from her vacation.
So Dear Hubby could not stay at home with Dear Son so that I could go to church on Mother���s Day.

Some might call WAIT FOR ME more of a women���s fiction than contemporary romance, but I call it a love story between two people experiencing the theme of the entire Vacation Sweethearts series, which is that God���s mercy and grace are new every morning through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We don���t deserve this��immeasurable grace and mercy from God, and yet He gives them to us so generously.
Please be patient as this third novel in the series goes to press. I hope it will be worth the wait. As always, to God be the glory!
While you wait, how about re-reading the first two books in the series, or re-read the sister series, Savannah Sweethearts, which is in the same story world.
