Inspired to write
Hello friends!
I have long believed that we all have a book in us--fiction or non-fiction. Maybe a how-to or a children's book. Some folks may have even started to write but stopped because they felt the story wasn't good enough or wouldn't sell. My advice to people who are even remotely interested, keep writing. You can edit later--much later if you really need space from your work. Maybe you have no intention of publishing your manuscript. That's fine too. Just continue to write. It's good for your brain and good for the soul.
Early on in my writing career, I had a document of random thoughts, phrases and scenes that I would enter for future use. Anytime I hear of a name of a person or some word/phase I liked, I'd add it to my document. Sometimes I would cut a scene from a manuscript I was working on, but didn't completely trash it. No. I would simply paste it into my "notes" document for possible future use. So now I have a 24-page, dynamic document for use when I write and to give me inspiration. You never know what's gonna work for you.
Have a terrific week!
Mia
