Sunday Funday Slowday

Let's talk about my son... and why I write in the first place.

Today, I want to share something that happened the other day. It hit me hard, and it still hasn't let go.

I don’t often share photos of my son, if ever, but this one popped up today.

Why can’t I write consistently???

Him.

Finally Releasing Kissing Her Dragons

Seriously. I almost didn't write or finish this book. As every single one of you know, the pandemic is creating chaos in all aspects of our lives. Kissing her Dragons was almost a casualty. Not because of a lack of wanting to write the story, not by any means. But because life here ... has not been easy.

Between homeschooling my demon spawn (teachers will FOREVER be at the top of my Christmas list now) to the daily struggle of finding...

Whiskey Tango Update

Amazon made a boo boo but I'm not giving up... Okay, ya'll.. Buckle in, cause I'm about to tell you one hell of a roller coaster story.
I'm in an anthology called Romantically Ever After. I have been for the past nine months. I'm doing it to help a group of women, most of which do not have their letters - get them. Also, it's fun and will hopefully expose me to new possible readers for my books.
WELL - their file was uploaded well in advance. We were geared up with 3577...

Huge Announcement #1

Twisted Steel Anthology 2nd Edition Okay, I need you to stay with me for just a second. Imagine that you're sitting across from me right now. I've got a crazy smile on my face, and I'm jumping around in my seat. Because that's exactly what's happening as I type this. I did something HUGE, and accepted an invitation to be a part of the Twisted Steel Anthology Second Edition - which opens the door for more of my contemporary/romantic suspense stuff - that WILL be coming soon. Today's the...

Let's Get Real

Just for a Minute... Stay-At-Home orders are in effect here in Maine.  Because of that, I'm put into a position where I'm a single parent, teaching my son everything from his second grade class. My entire day is spent making sure that he has a handle on everything and that he doesn't go into third grade sitting behind the curve.  Unfortunately, I don't feel like Kissing Her Dragons is up to par with what I want it to be. So ... I'm moving the release day back to 5.22.20. I hope...

Desperate Times

Call for Desperate Measures Do you know what I miss? Not having to worry about getting my coffee on time.  I'm rationing my flavoring. See - I don't put sugar or regular creamer in my coffee. I use this sugar free caramel deliciousness that I just need a little squirt of to add to the coffee beans that I consider life. Unfortunately, since I live in what can be classified as rural Maine ... I am out of luck. It's been sold out since the quarantine began. Now, normally I'd...

What is Going On?

Seriously. What is going on in your part of the world? In my house, my child has taken over almost completely. My office now has tons of his printouts for school. He's got an entire whiteboard up there for his daily schedule, and my entire flow is thrown off.  Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE being a mom, and this time with him is going to pay off in the long run... But I really, really, need a vacation from my child.  He's just as sarcastic as I am, and it shows.  He's...

Release Day - Twist Like a Goddess is Here!!!

Book # 7 is here finally ... and I can't WAIT for you to see it.   Twist Like a Goddess was hard for me to write. I put it up for preorder before the COVID-19 outbreak, before the chaos hit our home. Before SO MANY THINGS.
While writing it, my son was exposed.  My 8 year old, immunocompromised, larger-than-life child, was exposed to a virus known to decimate those who are immunocompromised.  My house went into immediate lockdown, and all of my time was spent obsessing over...

A Light at the End?

Day Fourteen in the Books... It's the last day of mandated quarantine for me and R.  Life is NOT the same as it was when we started.  We're both stressed, and I know without a shadow of a doubt that I am NOT cut out to be a teacher.  So, while this ends my saga - I hope that anyone who reads this knows... YOU ARE NOT ALONE.  Reach out. I'll help, I'll send smiles, and I'll be there while you freak the heck out.  I got you.  Also - Here's a picture of the fort he asked that I...
