Ch-ch-ch-changes (bad singsong voice included)

The absolute hardest thing I’ve ever admitted is that I’m not perfect. Seriously.

I know I literally just talked about how I didn’t write Kismet to market. How I wanted to make sure that my readers knew that going into it.
But there’s one thing that I didn’t take into account.

I wrote an asshole.
I mean, I love him still. He’s real.

But sometimes, you have to make changes. And I did.

Hardcore changes. If you read Kismet, and you thou...

Do You Want to See Behind the Chaos?

If you don’t already know, I write Romantic Suspense. About cops. Hot cops. And the women that always manage to take them out at the knees. Pretty much all kinds of first responders, too.

But, here’s the thing… It took me YEARS to figure out that this is what makes me happy. Seriously. Years.

The first Romantic Suspense that I wrote came well before I knew ANYTHING about writing romance. I had a story, stuck in my head on repeat. And...

Get Bent

Bent, ya’ll. Fucking Bent.

This book pretty much wrote itself. I have so many, MANY feelings about the words in the pages here. You’ll laugh. And if you’re like me, you WILL cry. But I swear, you will get to your happily ever after at the end. But before you get there, I need to tell you a story. I never share about my personal life because … well, that’s personal and you’re here to read books and not hear about wha...

One Crazy Weekend

I say this pretty frequently, but buckle up, ya’ll. I’m about to tell you the story of a terrible, no-good, very messed-up weekend.

To start it off, you need some backstory. I live in Maine, less than a half hour from the ocean, where we frequently boat. We have what’s called an out-board motor on the back of a 23-foot boat that has a cuddy cabin. I tell you this so that you know, before I even start this story, that I am not a comple...

Words are Hard

Buckle up, y’all.

I want to take a minute to talk about this crazy writing life.
Half the people in my world are authors, so they get it.
But in the real world, away from the computer, people don’t understand exactly why it is that I’m constantly attached to a device.

Words are hard.

And they don’t write themselves.
Words make up chapters, which make up books, which ultimately make the money to pay for more words.
And it takes time to make...

Do Better

Shit’s about to get real here for a minute.

I’m pretty open and honest about my youth if you get to know me. A big part of that is that fact that I have a momma who doesn’t gaslight me, or try to pretend that the shitty as fuck circumstances that we grew up in didn’t exist.

Do you know why that is?

Because this bish -my momma who I love and will actually hurt you for disrespecting- taught me to do better.

Better than her. Better than I...

Fade Like a Goddess is Finally Here!

I’ll be honest. I listened to you. I watched the reviews for Twist Like a Goddess. I read and responded to every single email you sent me about it. You all know and love the mythology that comes with this series, and I went light with Twist. Between the pandemic, homeschooling my son, and everything crazy and chaotic in life, I went light. You stuck by me, loved the story for what it was, and made it possible for me ...

One Week for Fade!

So, I’m sure that you saw the release date move a week for Fade Like a Goddess. I know, because I got emails from some of you wanting to check in on me and make sure that everything is good. YES. Everything is good! I had a few friends in the last month that had trouble with their file. So after talking to Amazon to make sure that everything went smoothly with this release, I pushed the release by a week. No big deal...

Huge Changes & Drama…

I’ve been pretty open and clear about the shit that Amazon has been pulling. Well, after a virtual month from hell regarding a series page being created, they finally fixed something I’ve been asking to be fixed since MAY of last year.
They’ve not had Rise Like a Goddess linked to the Surprise Goddess Cozy Mystery Series this entire time.
While the introduction is shorter, it really really shines a light on the beginnings of Evangelin...

Sunday Funday Slowday

This. Fucking. Kid.

Today, I want to share something that happened the other day. It hit me hard, and it still hasn’t let go. I don’t often share photos of my son, if ever, but this one popped up today.
Why can’t I write consistently??? Him.
Why do I struggle to get words? He’s running through the house and into my office like his ass is on fire.
But then, tonight… this fucking kid.
He tells me, “Mom do you know how proud I am of yo...
