Sharon teaches English literature and Professional Communications at Fanshawe College (London, ON), which means she gets to roam the realms of other people's stories when she isn't writing her own. She has an MA in Medieval literature, and a PhD in Canadian literature. She has published several academic book reviews as well as a monograph, Memory and Identity in Canadian Fiction. Sometimes you have to put something down for a while to give your imagination time to problem solve. But for me, having a strict routine that forces me to write every day is absolutely necessary. I carry a notebook with me everywhere, too, so I am always prepared for the moment when unexpected inspiration strikes!(less)
