How to Be Debt Free and Achieve Financial Freedom
Having debts…might not sound so pleasant for some people. Anyway, it is normal to have some, but you should never ignore them. Especially, if it is large, accepting it as your problem might help you deal with all the expenses, which might occur later, easier and faster.
First of all, you should make sure that you always know how much debts you have. Try to list them down and come up with a plan to deal with all the financial issues, at least, every three weeks. Then, decide what to pay off first, the one with the highest interest rate should be the first one on your list.
By doing this, you will realize when it is time for you to take things seriously. You might as well have to ask yourself how you got into debts in the first place or what made you decide to spend each penny…you needed it or just wanted it….
In a meanwhile, tell yourself to stop making more debts until you clear it all, and never make late payments. At least, try to pay it off little at a time. Also, saving money after getting out of debt is not necessary. You should start saving from now, maybe, at least 5% of the amount you earn every month. There are always unexpected expenses. The more you save, the more likely you make less debt.
Once you are debt free, you might want to know how to prevent yourself from being back in debt again. Try practicing these spending behaviors!
First, make a list before going shopping. You will see what is actually needed and what is not. If you need to make debts for your basic requisites, it is always fine. However, most people seem to think that everything that they purchase is necessary but…never.
Second, never do grocery shopping, if you know that you do not have much time. Since you might feel like you are rushed to buy, you will buy without having a second thought. However, if you really have to, seek for discounts!
Moreover, high price does not always mean high satisfaction. Spend more time to look through shops to find the best deals before making any purchase.
Then, pay cash instead of using credit cards. This will prevent you from spending more than you earn. Save enough money before making most purchases will help as well.
Finally, keep track of what you have spent money on to make sure that you spend every penny wisely.
One last important thing to be told is that if you stick to your goals and always make a budget that goes along with your life’s plan, you will be thinking even more than twice every time before you make a purchase!
