Paperback
Yay! The Mother Goose War is now available in paperback. I know I personally prefer the feel of a real book so I am pretty excited about this one.

The Sanctuary
I am super excited to announce that The Sanctuary is now available on Amazon in ebook format. I am working on getting it ready for paperback. Hopefully, that will happen later this week as well as a paperback version of Mother Goose War.
I did not think I would ever publish a novel, let alone two in 30 days. I hope you like it.

Stuff
I have had a few requests for a paperback version of The Mother Goose War. Thanks for having enough interest in it to ask. I am in the process of making that happen but it is a new experience in formatting hell so please be patient. I am hoping to have it available next week.
I am also pushing hard to get my second novel, The Sanctuary, out this weekend. Fingers crossed.

Grindstone
I am currently juggling two different writing projects.
One is editing The Sanctuary. It is a modern fantasy novel about a woman who inherits a magical book and creates a sanctuary for magical creatures while finding her own balance between opposing forces that have been calling to her since childhood.
The second is writing the first draft of a joint effort between my husband Dan Desilets and myself. It is a silly and light-hearted series called Hijinx Hollow. It is about small town in a fantasy world and the zany antics of the wacky characters that live there. They are determined to make their small town a tourism hot spot.
That pretty much sums up my days right now. Busy busy busy.

Published!
First novel PUBLISHED!
It has been a very exciting and busy week here. I definitely felt a combination of joy and anxiety when I hit the publish button on Amazon. You guys have really rewarded me though. I was so worried that no one would buy it and if someone did they would not like it and regret the choice.
I have already gotten some really good feedback from people and it has sent me over the moon.
Now I need to stop obsessively clicking the refresh button on the sales report page and get back to work. The Sanctuary isn’t going to edit itself.
Here is where you can download a copy of The Mother Goose War. I really hope you enjoy it.

The Cover
Yay! I just got the book cover for my first novel. That means it will be for sale very soon. It is crazy how a cover makes it feel different. Real.
*drumroll*
Here it is!

First blog post
The title that came with this new blog as filler pretty much explains it all. First blog post. Who am I to try to improve on that kind of perfection?
I am very nervous about this. I have written and published one book so far with my husband.
Saving Christmas: A Feel Good Macabre
It was a fun little story to put together but it was also a picture book. Not a lot of writing involved. 44 pages with bright and disturbing illustrations provided by the lovely and talented Rhiannon McCullough.
Now I am trying a new undertaking. A novel. The Mother Goose War. It will be just as twisted as my previous endeavors and hopefully amusing as well. You may remember when Geeky and Cheeky was a quirky puppet company. Or maybe when we transitioned to geeky dolls called dopplegeeks. Many of my creations had a dark humor to them. The Game of Thrones inspired series (including Stark on a stick) was a favorite of many as well as the Krampus gift set.
I am trying to keep that sense of whimsy and distress in my novels. You chuckle but immediately feel terrible for doing so.
I hope you will all join me on this new journey. It should be interesting.
