“Come Nia, the time is up! Come!” said Arisha, spreading her arms to let her cousin jum...

The Quiet Has A Name Now

I was walking back home, with white bandage on my left arm. I was thankful it wasn’t a fracture. A grimace reached my face as the irritating attention seeking music of the popcorn vendor pierced my eardrums. I had already taken a short-cut to avoid the noisy street. I walked faster now. Always ready for the world ahead,
It wasn’t so strong, just so brittle.

In the faint thumping of my heart,
Silent sobbing I often hear,
Visiting its scars of betrayal and deceit,
I feel the pai...

The Attempt

It was his first day in college. He stood at the front of the gate, his expressions a bit amused, a bit scared. He looked around the place and could not find even a single familiar face. Everyone else didn’t even acknowledged his presence, like he was totally invisible. Though this hurt him but also at the same time gave him the confidence to walk in through that gate, attempting to blend in the crowd. If I were to...
