+I'm Back

Just got back from Thailand. In spite of all the activity over the years, tsunamis, earthquakes, yellow shirts occopying airports, soilders in the streets, threats of civil war almost as predicatble as the four seasons, and the current flooding problem... it's still a great place. I have a little shack outside BKK, and me and the little lady occasionaly travel south to the beaches or north to her village, Ubon. Heading back, on arrival the plane just about touched down at SFO the plane shook, engines roared and we went back up. Captain comes on to PA system and says because of air traffic we need to make another approach. It was really wind shear.

Where do I start? I have been going to sea since the "Summer of Love", 1967. That's right, I sailed under the Golden Gate bridge on the U S Navys finest destroyer, and I could almost hear the free music and picture the free love at Golden Gate park. I still sail as a merchant sailor...fair seas and a following wind. Any questions?
