Woof, Woof.

For fans of the cute, devoted terrier of the Matty Cruz Adventure series, this is how I envision her. If your picture of her differs, no worries. Your perception is as good as mine.

Texas Redux Is No More

Texas Redux, the prequel to the Carol Karuso Mystery series, was written as an experiment, and had limited release. After review, I believe readers prefer to learn about Carol's past from the Matty Cruz Adventure series. Will I ever publish the sequel again? Probably not. If I get enough requests from readers, I may make it a freebie for folks who signup for my maillist. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Let the Editing Begin

I'm now in the editing phase of Fallen Angel. What does that mean? Long hours making sure the entire story makes sense and hangs together the way I want it to. Making sure the prose and dialog are as good as I can get it. When do I know I'm done? When I start doing what the picture below depicts. Then onto proofing and formatting.

As Simple as One, Two, Three

I woke up at 3 a.m., and couldn't go back to sleep. My mind went to my latest novel, Fallen Angel. Though I was just one chapter away from finishing the third draft, my 1st chapter needed to be reworked. Hmm, maybe I should break it into three parts. Then I thought of the significance of the number three to the main character, and how that number had woven its way into various parts of the book. Bam, I had my new opening. Insomnia, a writer's best friend.

December 08th, 2016

Fallen Angel has one of my most complex plots, and as a result, it may end up being the second longest book I've written. I'm glad that I took the time to write a 2.5 draft because that let me concentrate on wording and continuity changes in draft three.  I'm hoping to put the novel on pre-sale on Amazon in January 2017. Don't forget that the prelude novella, Texas Reveal, will be a giveaway for folks who sign up for my mail list, and that it won't be available for purchase for a while.
