The Update I Did Not Expect

Remember that article I posted here about my journey as a virtual assistant? Well, I posted it on my special WordPress blog, which I created as a form of market research of sorts and also as a test blog, and lo and behold, that post got about 75 likes, the highest amount of likes I have ever received ever. I submitted this same article to Illumination and got 35 claps.
That made me pause and ask, “What was it about me being a rookie virtual assistant that resonated with these people?” Is it my honesty about my ordeal, or is it something else? Did they feel a strong emotional connection to the story, or did it fall flat?
I seriously do not know how to react, whether I should laugh or cry. This is a big victory for me, regardless of how small it may appear to be to others. I even posted a little gratitude post on WordPress.
It is important to always express gratitude for everything because blessings follow you later when you least expect them. I used to think that I never belonged anywhere because I do not have that many friends and often felt lonely, but now, it seems that I am slowly finding an audience and, perhaps, building a community. It is now left to me to build on that momentum and go full speed ahead. Wish me luck, guys.
And someone told me that virtual assistance is not that profitable. Looks like I am on a mission to prove that person wrong. How I will do that, just watch and see.
