Abigail's Winter Wardrobe

The breezy chilly air of winter 2015 will soon be upon the graceful shores of the United States.  While winter in my neck of the woods never rises to fame of the East Coast and Midwest, we in the South still have occasions to bundle up from the cold.
Winter fashion has always escaped me, until the last couple of years, when found that I have knack for choosing the perfect scarf and incredible boots. This year will be no exception. I’ve reviewed and cataloged my scarfs and boots and I am ready to do battle with mild  winter days.

Abigail Falls For September

Abigail Falls For September
Enchanting winds of Fall slowly build a roaring rust-colored,
pumpkin-flavored, leaf-strewn, harvest.
Wondrous, unpredictable, falling leaves, pumpkin patches galore,
fluttering leaves, snowy mountain tops, harvest moon, chill in the air.
Change of season, time of change, migrating geese.
Hunter’s moon, howling wind, end of summer
Hello September, Welcome Fall Abby

Abigail's Good-Bye To August

Good-bye scorching heat
Good-bye blazing rays of sunshine beating down on my soul
Good-bye sun-kissed muggy morning breeze
Good-bye sun-kissed sidewalk sweltering on my sweaty feet
Good-bye blistering sunbaked car seats
Good-bye summer days baking in the sun
Good-bye grilling
Good-bye mowing the grass
Good-bye eating an ice cream cone in the sun
Good-bye summertime
Good-bye August

Abigail's Kitchen

I awake early in the morning, long before my daughters’ feet hit the floor signaling the instinctive awaking of life in the Chase Household. Long before night ends, a new day begins as love blossoms in the dead of night.  If I listen closely  I can hear the quiet whispers of love as it comes alive as I drift off to sleep.
The kitchen quietly rumblings as it rises from its daily slumber with the soft grumbling of the refrigerator, as it sings a love song barley heard as the dishwasher smiles and dances.  The broom and mop hang together, the washer and dryer are a perfect match as they sit together in harmony.  The pots and lids kiss as they do a tango.  All are together and in love.
Love blossoms in the middle of the night long before my daughters’ feet hit floor awaking the Chase Household.

Abigail's Rain Dance

Dance in the Rain?
It’s not so insane
Help me wash away the pain
Soothe my love sick soul
Comfort me, fall in love with me,
Dance with me,
Twirl me, help me dance through the pain
Love sick, broken hearted
Dance with me in the pouring rain

Abigail's Red Coat

Red is the color of the coat I wear
Sprinkled by showers
Surrounded by cold
Hug me, squeeze me until you grow old

Abigail's Cute As A Button

There are days that I feel as cute as a pouty button.  I like to toss my hair in ponytail and put on my poutiest smile as I lull the day away with my cute pout.
One could say it’s a girl thing or even just an Abby thing.

Abigail's Sloppy Joe Fix

I am girl who lives and dies for her Sloppy Joe fix. Nothing says love like a hearty Sloppy Joes served with fries and a pickle.  As a kid Sloppy Joe Fridays were my favorite? Ground Round cooked to perfection covered in a delicious red sauce with onions, ketchup and green peppers.
The delight of a Sloppy Joe is all the sauce the slides down your hand as you eat one.
Abby.

1/4 cup diced onion
4 oz tomato sauce
2 oz tomato paste1cup Ketchup
salt and pepper, to tasteBrown the ground beef with the onions. Drain the beef then add the rest of the ingredients, mixing well. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened.Cooks Note: Serve on butter toasted buns. Any leftover may be served next day with elbow macaroni.

Abigail's Teapot & Tea Kettle

I want a teapot or is it tea kettle. Whatever it is I am on the hunt for it.
The intricate world of fanciful and whimsical teapots and tea kettles is a delight to navigate.  There are so many beautiful teapots and kettles to choose from I can hardly chose on. So I’ve decided I need two. One will be for Monday – Friday and the other will be for weekends. One house divided by a kettle and a teapot. Now if only I could narrow down the selection to two.

Abigail Superhero? Maybe,

In a world of multitasking, one learns to be a superhero. Unlike Superman you can’t hide behind a secret identity to save your own tiny world. The splashy world of being mom, blogger, writer and totally awesome cute wife often merge and demand the skills of a superheroine.

Cooking, cleaning, and carpooling without spilling coffee or backing into the garage is every superheroine’s destiny. Sitting down to write a blog while doing laundry and putting dinner on takes a great amount of skill. Am I a superhero? Yep! If only in my own tiny world.
