Olde Mistick Village – Mystical Elements!
Remember yesterday’s post? Well, yesterday I went to Mystical Elements, which is a major setting in Mystic Waters and I took a video to show you all what Olde Mistick Village looks like!
Overall, my vacation was a hit. I had 6 signings but had to cancel the one today due to my travel schedule conflicting with the signing time. I felt really badly about that. I always want to sign for my readers and being so new, every signing counts.
I’ve met some wonderful people while being on vacation. If I’m being honest, this vacation was more work than play. Which is kind of sad because now I’m going to Army work. :/ Does it ever end??
Mystic Waters is definitely in a better place since being here. We’ve gotten the word out on it and have signed on for our second printing. We are almost out of books only a month in! Amazing, right? Chasing the Tide Snippet

Chasing the Tide Update

For those who’ve read Mystic Waters and are waiting patiently (or impatiently) for Chasing the Tide, this post is for you.
I’m at 32,400 words as of two minutes ago. This may sound discouraging to some of you but understand that I’m working as quickly as possible. The frame of the story is complete. I’m filling in scenes and they’re coming to me easily and beautifully. I hope you all are as excited as I am. If you’re looking for snippets, I encourage you to look through past posts, both here and all of my other social networking sites. I will be posting what I can, when I can. These excerpts can and likely will change.
As far as Mystic Waters goes, please, if you read the book and enjoyed it, share it with the world. Leave reviews and let people borrow your copy. Hearing good feedback has given me so much strength and the courage I need to move forward with Chasing the Tide confidently.
It’s definitely a different feeling, writing the sequel. You will see more of my military background in CTT. Which I’m very happy to announce. It’s also strange to hear you guys talk about the past when I’m so far into Liza’s future. I’m really hoping that although different, you will love CTT just as much.
I have one more signing at Bank Square Books in Mystic, CT from 2-4 pm. I hope I see you there! :)

Remember Me?
It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to post. I’ve been traveling from Germany to the USA, gearing for my release party and doing book signings. It’s been amazing. I can’t believe I’ve been this fortunate. But this isn’t the end! For everyone who’s read Mystic Waters, know that I am working diligently on the sequel. We don’t have a release date yet but things are being worked on this end.
I’m going to keep this post short because I fully intend to continue working on the sequel. Please, read Mystic Waters and share Liza with the world! Thanks for all of your support!
Also, I have a signing at Bank Square Books in Mystic, Connecticut on July 6th from 2-4! See you all there!

It’s Almost Time!
Tomorrow is the release date for Mystic Waters! Now, if you’ve read my blog, you know that Rosemi is totally fabulous. And we love you guys so much. The people who read my blog, those who follow me on social media…you are wonderful. You make the late nights worth it.
So, we’re planning a surprise. Those of you who know me personally know that I’m terrible at keeping quiet when it comes to surprises. But I have to do this! I have to keep quiet.

6 Days!
I’m finding more and more that I don’t have as much time as I used to. I’d be able to post almost daily when I was deployed. Now I have to wait until I’ve finished the day until I can sit down and do my daily fact. Again, I owe you all two facts. 6 days!
Fact 1: I think the most important part of writing is staying honest to yourself and your characters. At some point, you’re going to want to change your story to what you think is best or what you’d be more comfortable with. Stay away from that. You do what your characters tell you. THEY are the story. You’re merely the vessel bringing it to the rest of the world. At times, my characters would annoy the crap out of me. But in the end, they knew what was best. They always do!
Fact 2: Almost from the very beginning, I knew what I wanted the cover of Mystic Waters to look like. It was very easy to explain it to Rosemi, who the explained it to the men who’d bring it to life. And I couldn’t be happier. Only a few tweaks and I feel like it’s a masterpiece. I never get tired of looking at it. And I can’t wait for you all to see the story behind it!

8 Days!
8 Days! I don’t even know HOW to feel!
Today’s Fact: For all of my Mystic folks, I hate to disappoint you but Mystic, Connecticut in real life isn’t Mystic, Connecticut in Mystic Waters. While there are major areas that do come from Mystic, there are also places/areas that don’t. I like to think I’ve combined New London, Niantic and Mystic.
And because I owe you for yesterday, here’s another fact: I briefly touch base on Native Americans. Growing up in Southeastern Connecticut, this is something I found true to the area and wanted to keep that diversity within the story. While I don’t name any specific tribe, I credit them for great things. I didn’t think it wise to take the route Stephenie Meyer did because I don’t want to bring any unwanted attention to these citizens. I hope you all enjoy what’s to come!
