In Memory: A Tribute to Sir Terry Pratchett - An anthology
Terry Pratchett was a brilliant man. A genius writer. And an expert hat wearer.
He also fiercely campaigned for Alzheimer's Research UK, a charity which actively funds and researches towards a prevention or cure for the terrible disease.
A group of authors have teamed up to produce a tribute to this inspirational and generous gentleman.
In Memory: A Tribute to Sir Terry Pratchett features seventeen unique takes on the theme of memory from authors spanning nine countries and four continents. Written in dear memory of Sir Terry Pratchett and with all proceeds going to Alzheimer’s Research UK, these seventeen tales of magic (and the occasional automaton) will move you from giggles to tears and back again.
The anthology is due for release in October 2015.

Rest In Peace, Sir Terry Pratchett
Today, the world lost a great mind.
Sir Terry Pratchett, the creator of the Discworld series, passed away today on the 12th March 2015.
Not only was he one of my biggest influences, one of the brilliant minds who persuaded me to get into writing, but he was also one of the most brilliant and creative minds to ever live.
I have no doubts that Sir Terry will be remembered beyond hundreds of years for his Discworld novels.
A man with a mind as creative, genius, brilliant and magical as Terry is a very rare find indeed.
Sleep well. Thank you for the amazing world you created. And thank you for the inspiration.

H2Zero: Part One
In the 21st century, the human race is on the brink of extinction. An event known as the Black Incident has reshaped the world as we know it.
Civilisation has fallen into absolute chaos. Food is heavily rationed. Clean water is now more valuable than diamonds.
After the fall of the British government, the military now control what remains of the population in quarantine zones. When orders fail, bullets fly. If you try to leave, you're enslaved.
Outside the quarantine zones you're confronted with bandits, psychotic cults and ... those ... things.
The H2Zero series
H2Zero is a wake-up call to humanity. We may not yet realise it, but extinction is closer than we think.
Each instalment of the series is a short story set in a different time to explore the events that have unfolded and each instalment will follow the footsteps of a different person as they struggle to survive in this new world.
A selected quote
The main element crucial for the survival of life is also a demon in disguise; it will snatch your life away as quickly as you were given it. There’s no god, it’s the elements that control this world and everything on it.

The Day The World Mourned A Legend
The news of concerning the death of Robin Williams was shocking, unexpected and saddening.
Robin was seen as a hero by many children.
He gave and gave to charity.
He made millions of people laugh and smile. Especially those who needed it the most. Because Robin understood what those people needed - he was suffering from depression.
I have written a full article on Robin Williams, a tribute. Please feel free to take a look at it: The Day The World Mourned A Legend
A quote from the article:
Sleep well Robin. Thank you for all the laughs, the smiles and the help you gave others. Sorry the world was cruel to you in return.
Legends fall, but are never forgotten.

A quote from the article:
I am reminded by a line I once heard in a film called “The Watchmen“. It seems relevant to this sad death. The quote is:
"Heard joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he’s depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says, “Treatment is simple. Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up.” Man bursts into tears. Says “But Doctor… I am Pagliacci.” Good joke. Everybody laugh. Roll on snare drum. Curtains."
Sleep well Robin. Thank you for all the laughs, the smiles and the help you gave others. Sorry the world was cruel to you in return.
Legends fall, but are never forgotten.
