Hi Daniel! Two questions: (1) What book(s) are you currently reading? And (2) If you could go back in time to attend any concert of your choice, who would you see, and when?
I’m reading Empire of Liberty by Gordon Wood as my main book and re-reading How I Conquered Your Planet by Schwartzwelder as my pool-side, recreational book (I try to always read two books at any given time).
For the second part, I know I should probably say The Beatles or Bowie or someone else who is dead, but my actual choice is Ben Folds Five, sometime in the 90s. That’s my favorite band. And I’ve seen Ben Folds (solo and with his other three-piece) about 9 times, and I’ve seen the Ben Folds Five REUNION twice, but I’ve never seen Ben Folds Five before they were famous. That’s my favorite band, and I’d like to see them when they were playing shitty clubs and begging their friends to come see them. Three immensely talented guys playing before anyone was paying them to do it. That’s what I want to see.

Hey, so, someone has probably already passed this on, but I was watching an interview with Lin-Manuel Miranda about Hamilton's Grammy nomination and they showed his bookcase. Long story short, he owns 'How to Fight Presidents.'
Thanks for pointing this out! I blogged about it previously and have been desperately trying to get @linmanuel‘s attention ever since to see if he’s interested in being best friends from now until the sun explodes. (I have not been successful.)

What’s angering is that at the end of the video they’re about to say who they are, and that’s when the video cuts off. I would have listened to more. Seriously peeved about this.
Update: Thanks to @spiritxiii, I now know their name is Too Many Zooz. Hey, guys, tag this post with their name so other people can find them!
This is amazing and I looked up their bandcamp and bought some songs. Good job, guys. You didn’t just play some music, you put on a performance.
Fuck yes. This is fantastic. They are also on Spotify.
That’s also the sax player from Lucky Chops. Lucky Chops is/was dope as fuck.

Where are the deets about y'all coming to SXSW? I'm an Austinite, I can't be expected to combs the schedules of this circus - just tell us!
We’re officially performing/presenting/playing at the Interactive Awards but will otherwise be wandering around Austin. I’ll certainly be at Torchy’s at some point and Banger’s at most other points. We will also be tweeting from wherever we end up.
This has been a terrible answer to your question, but my flight leaves in six hours and I haven’t packed yet, so I’m not totally on top of my schedule. BUT I CAN’T WAIT BECAUSE I LOVE AUSTIN SO MUCH!!

I’ve mentioned this before, but HOLY SHIT, BUZZFEED, YOU’RE ALL OVER THE FUCKING MAP.
I don't have a question. But you write things and make videos that make me happy, and I thought you should know that. Wait, I can make it a question -- did you know that the things you do at work make me/people happy?
It is always my sincere hope that they do. Thank you!

Hi Dan. I didn't realize you did the fight choreography for Cracked's Star Wars series. Is that something you've had training for? Or was it more of a figure-it-out-as-you-go process?
Just figured it out (which I think you can tell if you watch how basic-ass the fight choreography is). My only experience in fight choreography comes from growing up with two older brothers and just did what we (unimaginatively) called “Fake Fighting,” where we throw kicks and punches that never actually connect and then react to them as if we got hit. Sometimes we’d loosely choreograph it and film it (including a number of lightsaber battles, which we did with wooden sticks).
